Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT now has a reopening date. The distinctive underwater-themed restaurant is scheduled to return on Nov. 4, 2026, following a nearly two-month closure for planned maintenance.
The restaurant will close beginning Sept. 8. Walt Disney World’s public notice has continued to say only that Coral Reef is expected to reopen “later in 2026,” but operating hours have now appeared for Nov. 4, providing a more specific date for guests planning fall visits.
When Coral Reef returns, it is expected to continue operating as a dinner-only restaurant. Current hours beginning with the reopening are listed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., maintaining the reduced schedule the location has followed during 2026.
Coral Reef previously served both lunch and dinner, but lunch service was discontinued earlier this year. The upcoming maintenance period does not appear to change that operating model, and there has been no announcement that daytime dining will return when the restaurant reopens.
Disney has also not provided details about the specific work planned during the closure. The company has described the project as planned maintenance rather than announcing a major redesign or restaurant transformation. No changes to the dining room, menu or overall concept have been revealed.
Located in EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion, Coral Reef stands out because of its panoramic windows overlooking the pavilion’s enormous saltwater habitat. Disney says approximately 2,000 sea creatures representing more than 60 aquatic species live within The Seas.

From the dining room, guests can watch sharks, sea turtles, rays and schools of fish move through the aquarium while they eat. The 5.7-million-gallon habitat is one of the largest man-made ocean environments in the world and is also visible from the neighboring SeaBase Aquarium.
The unusual setting has made Coral Reef one of EPCOT’s most recognizable table-service restaurants, even as its menu and operating hours have changed over the years.
Disney currently describes the menu as Florida coastal cuisine with a mix of seafood and other American dishes. Current offerings include Lobster Bisque, Coconut Fried Shrimp and Caribbean Salad among the appetizers. Entrées listed by Disney include Grilled Snapper, Shrimp Fettuccine, Seafood Macaroni & Cheese, Mojo Chicken and a Surf and Turf featuring filet mignon and grilled shrimp.
Desserts currently include Key West Sunset, a key lime tart with Chantilly cream and raspberries, as well as Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding. Menu selections and prices can change before the November reopening.
Because Coral Reef is located inside EPCOT, valid theme park admission is required to dine there, and a park reservation may also be necessary depending on the guest’s admission type. Disney strongly recommends advance dining reservations for its in-park table-service restaurants.
For guests visiting EPCOT between Sept. 8 and Nov. 3, Coral Reef will remain unavailable while the maintenance work is completed. Other attractions and experiences within The Seas pavilion have not been announced as part of the restaurant closure.
With operating hours now returning to Disney’s calendar on Nov. 4, guests finally have a firm date to plan around after Disney initially provided only a broad late-2026 reopening window. Unless the schedule changes, Coral Reef Restaurant will be back in time for the final months of EPCOT’s fall and holiday season, once again offering dinner alongside one of Walt Disney World’s most unusual views.
