Disney World Adds First October 2026 Good-to-Go Day for Annual Passholders

By | October 3, 2026

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders just gained a little more flexibility for an October park visit.

Disney has added Monday, October 6, as a Good-to-Go Day for Annual Passholders, making it the first such date announced for October 2026. Eligible Passholders can visit the Walt Disney World theme parks that day without first securing a theme park reservation, subject to the normal blockout-date and capacity restrictions associated with their pass.

The October 6 designation was added to Disney’s Annual Passholder admission calendar on October 3.

For Passholders who already had a park reservation for October 6, there is nothing they need to do. Disney automatically removes the reservation requirement when a date becomes Good-to-Go, and the reservation no longer counts toward the maximum number a Passholder can hold at one time.

That can be particularly useful for Passholders trying to plan several visits at once.

Under Disney’s current Annual Pass structure, Disney Incredi-Pass and Disney Sorcerer Pass holders can generally hold as many as five theme park reservations at a time. Disney Pirate Pass holders can hold four, while Disney Pixie Dust Pass holders can hold three. Resort stays provide additional reservation flexibility.

Good-to-Go Days effectively free Passholders from using one of those reservation slots.

Disney introduced the system in January 2024 as part of a broader relaxation of the theme park reservation rules put into place following Walt Disney World’s 2020 reopening.

The program does not operate on a fixed monthly schedule.

Instead, Disney periodically selects dates when Passholders can enter the parks without reservations. Disney says those dates can be added days or weeks in advance, which means October 6 may not necessarily be the only Good-to-Go Day announced for the month.

That makes the Annual Passholder calendar worth checking regularly.

Disney had previously added three Good-to-Go Days for September 2026-September 14, 15 and 16. October 6 now becomes the next date added to the system and the first for the new month.

Good-to-Go status applies across Walt Disney World’s theme parks rather than requiring Passholders to select a specific park reservation in advance.

There are still some important limitations.

A Good-to-Go Day does not override a Passholder’s applicable blockout dates, and park admission always remains subject to capacity. The benefit also does not provide admission to separately ticketed events.

That distinction is relevant on October 6 because Magic Kingdom will host Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that evening. The Halloween event requires a separate party ticket and is not included with an Annual Pass.

During regular park hours, however, eligible Passholders can visit Magic Kingdom-or EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom-without making a reservation first.

Good-to-Go Days are not the only way Annual Passholders can currently visit without reservations.

Disney also allows Passholders to enter the theme parks after 2 p.m. without making a reservation on most dates. The major exception is Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, when a reservation is still required unless the date has separately been designated Good-to-Go.

The advantage of October 6 is therefore most noticeable for Passholders who want to begin their day in the parks rather than waiting until the afternoon.

The designation can also make Park Hopper plans easier.

On a normal reservation-required day, a Passholder must make a reservation for the first park they intend to visit and actually enter that park before hopping elsewhere. On a Good-to-Go Day, the reservation step disappears, allowing the Passholder considerably more freedom to decide where to begin the day.

That flexibility was the primary reason Disney created the Good-to-Go system.

When the company announced the program, it described the change as a way to make spontaneous Annual Passholder visits easier while retaining the reservation system for dates when Disney considers attendance management necessary.

More than two years later, Disney continues to use Good-to-Go Days as a middle ground between requiring reservations from Passholders every day and eliminating the reservation system entirely.

For October visitors, the most important thing is that the calendar remains fluid.

Disney specifically notes that Good-to-Go Days are added periodically and can appear only days before the eligible date. Additional October dates could therefore still be announced as Disney evaluates attendance and reservation availability.

As of October 3, October 6 is the first confirmed Good-to-Go Day of the month.

Annual Passholders planning spontaneous Walt Disney World visits over the next several weeks may want to keep checking the admission calendar, because more reservation-free dates could be added with relatively little notice.
