ABC Holiday Taping Changes Magic Kingdom Entertainment on November 10 and 11

By | November 2, 2026

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom on November 10 and 11 will encounter an unusual daytime entertainment schedule as Walt Disney World prepares to film material for ABC’s annual holiday television specials. The previously announced 2:00 p.m. performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade are only part of the story: Disney’s newly posted calendar also shows reductions or cancellations affecting several regular shows and street performers.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

The most visible substitution is the afternoon parade. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is not scheduled on either Tuesday, November 10, or Wednesday, November 11. Instead, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is listed at 2:00 p.m. on both days. That gives guests with ordinary daytime park admission a chance to see a parade usually reserved for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party until later in the holiday season.

The opportunity comes with a trade-off. Anyone specifically hoping to watch Festival of Fantasy should choose a different day. The Christmas parade is being staged in connection with a television production, and filming can affect sightlines, crowd movement and the timing of individual performances. A scheduled daytime presentation does not guarantee an uninterrupted view from every part of the route.

The entertainment changes extend to Cinderella Castle. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, which ordinarily has five performances on the comparison date, is scheduled only twice on November 10: 9:15 a.m. and noon. November 11 has four listed performances, at 10:10 a.m., 11:35 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Visitors who typically plan to catch the show whenever they pass the castle should pay closer attention to those limited windows.

Main Street, U.S.A. will also operate differently. The Dapper Dans have no performances listed for November 10. They are scheduled for six sets on November 11, at 9:00, 9:50 and 10:40 a.m., followed by 12:05, 1:10 and 3:55 p.m. The Casey’s Corner Pianist has only three listed performances on November 10, at 11:40 a.m., 12:25 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Six performances are listed for November 11. Those changes may be easy to overlook, but they affect the atmosphere of Main Street for guests who enjoy the park’s smaller live entertainment offerings.

The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade is another casualty of the tighter schedule. No performance is currently listed on November 10, while the usual 11:05 a.m. appearance remains on November 11. As with any Disney entertainment listing, these schedules can change before the filming dates arrive.

Nighttime entertainment is a different matter. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is still scheduled for 6:45 and 9:00 p.m. on both nights, and Happily Ever After remains on the calendar at 8:00 p.m. Frozen Holiday Surprise is also listed at 6:15 p.m. That should help visitors who are planning a full day around the castle rather than coming only for the daytime Christmas parade.

The footage is intended for ABC’s holiday programming. The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular is scheduled to air November 30, while the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade is scheduled for December 25. A televised special can combine material recorded on different dates and at different locations, so being present during filming does not mean guests will see every performance that ultimately appears on television.

For November 10 and 11 visitors, the key is to decide which experience matters most. The Christmas parade offers a rare daytime bonus without purchasing a party ticket, but several familiar performances will be reduced or unavailable. Checking the entertainment calendar on the morning of the visit will be especially important during this two-day production.
