Disney fans will not need a ticket to the Honda Center to watch one of D23’s biggest presentations this weekend. Disney has confirmed that Horizons: A Carousel of Progress will stream live on Disney+ on Saturday, Aug. 15, beginning at 7 p.m. PT, or 10 p.m. ET.

The presentation is part of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, taking place Aug. 14 through Aug. 16 in Anaheim, California. Neil Patrick Harris will host the Saturday-night showcase, which will focus on the future of Disney Experiences around the world.
Disney says Horizons will take viewers behind the scenes of projects currently being designed, engineered and constructed by Walt Disney Imagineering. Fans can expect project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, creative insights and stories about how upcoming attractions, destinations and other experiences are progressing.
The Disney+ livestream gives fans outside Anaheim direct access to a presentation that has traditionally generated some of the biggest Disney Parks announcements of D23 weekend. Thousands of attendees will watch the show in person at the Honda Center, while Disney+ subscribers will be able to follow along live from home.
Horizons: A Carousel of Progress takes its inspiration from Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, with Disney describing the presentation as a look at both its creative legacy and the possibilities ahead. Rather than simply moving through a rapid series of announcements, the 2026 format will feature conversations with Imagineering leaders and creative talent responsible for projects around the world.
Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum will participate alongside a large group of Imagineers. Confirmed participants include Walt Disney Imagineering President and Chief Creative Officer Bruce Vaughn and several creative leaders representing Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort and Disney Cruise Line.
Walt Disney World will have particularly strong representation during the presentation. Imagineers scheduled to appear include Michael Hundgen, Portfolio Executive Creative Producer; Caroline May, Executive Creative Director; Chris Beatty, Portfolio Executive Creative Director; and Jason Grandt, Executive Creative Director.
Other participants include Ali Rubinstein, Senior Vice President of Global Creative & Development Studios; Emily “Emo” O’Brien, Portfolio Executive Creative Producer for Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort; Claire Weiss, Portfolio Executive Creative Director for Disney Cruise Line; and Executive Creative Director Brent Strong.
Disney has not provided a complete list of announcements that will be made during the showcase. That leaves plenty of questions surrounding projects already underway or previously announced across Disney’s destinations.
At Walt Disney World alone, Imagineering is developing major projects including Piston Peak National Park and a Disney Villains land at Magic Kingdom, the Tropical Americas transformation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the Monsters, Inc.-themed area planned for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney also has significant projects in development at Disneyland Resort and its international parks, along with continued expansion of Disney Cruise Line.
The 2024 Disney Experiences showcase was used to reveal new lands, attractions, cruise ships and other projects. Disney says the 2026 presentation will build on many of those announcements by showing how concepts unveiled two years ago are moving closer to becoming completed experiences.
The show will also include performances and special moments alongside its Imagineering discussions and project updates.
For Disney Parks fans following D23 from home, the Disney+ stream makes Saturday night the centerpiece of the weekend. Horizons: A Carousel of Progress begins live Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. Pacific and 10 p.m. Eastern, giving viewers around the world a front-row look at what Disney Experiences is preparing next.
