Florida residents planning a Walt Disney World vacation in early 2027 have a new opportunity to save on their resort accommodations.
Walt Disney World has introduced a Florida resident hotel discount offering up to 30% off select rooms at Disney Resort hotels for stays between January 3 and April 29, 2027.
The promotion covers accommodations across Disney’s Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa resort categories, although the actual savings depend on the hotel, room type, and travel dates.
The new offer provides Florida residents with larger discounts than those available through Disney’s general public spring room promotion.
Florida Resident Discounts Reach 30% at Select Resorts
The largest savings are available at participating Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts.
For eligible accommodations, Florida residents can save:
- 30% on most nights from February 28 through April 29, 2027.
- 25% on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25, 2027.
Participating accommodations include Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn, Riviera Resort, and several Disney Vacation Club properties.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is also included, although certain room categories fall into a different discount tier.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are among the accommodations eligible for the highest discount category.
For guests considering a Deluxe resort, the promotion could produce meaningful savings over a multiday vacation, particularly during March and April.
However, the advertised percentage represents the maximum available discount for qualifying rooms. Not every room category or travel date will qualify.
Moderate Resorts and Select Deluxe Rooms Receive Up to 25% Off
The second discount category includes several Moderate resorts and certain accommodations at Deluxe properties.
Eligible guests can save 25% on most nights from February 28 through April 29, or 20% on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25.
Participating accommodations include Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, and Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Polynesian Villas & Bungalows also appear in this category, along with Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort View rooms, Art of Animation family suites, and Old Key West Deluxe Studios.
This distinction is important because Disney’s resort discounts are not always determined by the hotel’s overall classification.
A particular room category at a Deluxe resort may receive a smaller discount than another accommodation at the same property.
Guests comparing hotels should therefore examine the actual discounted room rate rather than assuming that every Deluxe resort room qualifies for the highest percentage.
Value Resorts Offer Up to 20% Savings
Florida residents looking for less expensive accommodations also have several options.
Participating Value resorts qualify for savings of 20% on most nights from February 28 through April 29 and 15% on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25.
Eligible properties include Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, All-Star Music Resort, All-Star Sports Resort, Pop Century Resort, and standard rooms at Art of Animation.
Port Orleans French Quarter and standard-location rooms at Port Orleans Riverside are included in this discount category.
Select campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort also qualify during the later promotional period, although the January and February dates are excluded.
For guests who spend most of their vacation time in the theme parks, the Value resort discounts may offer a more economical alternative to the higher-priced accommodations.
How the New Offer Compares With Other Spring Discounts
The Florida resident promotion is not Disney’s only hotel offer for early 2027.
Disney previously announced a general public room discount covering the same January 3 through April 29 travel period.
Under that promotion, eligible guests can save up to 25% at select resorts.
The new Florida resident offer increases the maximum savings to 30%, providing an additional five percentage points of savings across the corresponding discount tiers.
Disney Visa Cardmembers have access to a separate promotion with savings of up to 30%, while eligible Annual Passholders may qualify for discounts of up to 35%.
Florida residents who also hold Annual Passes or Disney Visa cards should compare their available offers before booking.
The best discount percentage does not always translate into the lowest total vacation cost if the available room categories differ.
Booking Requirements and Restrictions
The Florida resident offer applies to select rooms and dates, subject to availability.
Guests must meet Disney’s Florida residency requirements and be prepared to provide acceptable proof of residency.
The promotion cannot be combined with other discounts, and the number of rooms available at promotional rates is limited.
Some accommodations are excluded, including three-bedroom villas, Copper Creek cabins, and certain accommodations at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
The offer covers resort accommodations rather than automatically including theme park admission.
Guests who already have reservations for eligible travel dates should check whether the new promotion can be applied to their existing booking.
