Disney World Expands Airport Luggage Transfer to Port Orleans and Coronado Springs Resorts

By | October 29, 2026

Walt Disney World has expanded its airport luggage transfer program to three additional Moderate Resort locations, giving more guests a way to avoid handling checked bags at Orlando International Airport. The newly participating hotels are Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, including Gran Destino Tower, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. The additions appeared on Disney’s official list of participating resorts on October 29, 2026.

The service, known as Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney, is operated by BagCheck. It is designed for guests staying at eligible Disney-owned hotels who are traveling on participating domestic flights. Depending on the direction of travel, guests can arrange for their checked bags to travel between the airport and their hotel without collecting them at baggage claim or checking them again at the airport counter.

For the Port Orleans and Coronado Springs resorts, the change is particularly useful because the program was previously concentrated at Disney’s Value Resorts. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort became the first Moderate Resort to participate in August 2026. The latest expansion brings the number of participating hotel locations to nine, counting the All-Star resorts separately and Coronado Springs with Gran Destino Tower as one resort location.

The full roster now includes All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs and Gran Destino Tower, Port Orleans – French Quarter, and Port Orleans – Riverside. No Deluxe Resort appears on Disney’s current participating-hotel list. American Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines are the four eligible carriers. Disney says additional airlines may be added, but has not announced a schedule for further expansion.

Guests who want to use the service on their way to Orlando must register with BagCheck between 30 days and 24 hours before their departure flight. Registration requires both the Disney Resort reservation confirmation number and the flight confirmation number. Travelers then check in with their airline and pay any applicable checked-baggage fees as they normally would. After landing at Orlando International Airport, they can bypass baggage claim and continue to their resort.

Disney advises allowing up to four hours after the flight arrives for bags to reach the hotel. Luggage can be collected at Bell Services or delivered to the guest room on request; gratuities are not included. Guests who register more than seven days before their flight should receive luggage tags by mail. Those who enroll closer to departure can still participate and track their bags using the confirmation-email link, even without mailed tags.

The return-trip process is different. Guests check in for their flight online, settle any airline baggage charges, and bring their bags to the hotel’s Luggage Assistance or Bell Services area between 24 hours and four hours before flight departure. A boarding pass and government-issued photo identification are required. Once at the airport, travelers can proceed past the airline’s regular bag-check line and collect their luggage at baggage claim after reaching their final destination.

There are a few important limits. The program applies to domestic flights, not international travel, and it does not replace transportation between the airport and Walt Disney World. Travelers can use it for arrival only, departure only, or both, provided their hotel and airline qualify. Disney also recommends keeping medications, electronics, important documents, and other essentials in carry-on bags rather than checked luggage.

The expansion removes a practical inconvenience for guests at three popular Moderate Resort properties, especially families juggling multiple suitcases. Anyone traveling soon should confirm that their hotel and airline remain listed on Disney’s official Airport Luggage Transfer page before registering, since the company describes the arrangement as a pilot program subject to change.
