Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Opens Reservations to All Guests as First Room Prices Are Revealed

By | October 8, 2026

Walt Disney World’s newest resort is officially entering its next chapter, and guests can finally begin making plans to stay there.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens reservations to the general public today, nearly nine months before the resort welcomes its first guests on July 1, 2027.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Reservations

The booking window follows two days of early access for Disney Vacation Club Members and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.

More importantly, those early reservations have provided the first substantial look at what accommodations will cost at the new waterfront property.

Initial pricing obtained directly from Disney Vacation Club Member Services shows nightly rates ranging from approximately $494 for a Duo Studio to more than $3,600 for a two-bedroom Lake House.

Those figures establish a clearer picture of where Lakeshore Lodge will fit within Walt Disney World’s growing collection of deluxe accommodations.

First Lakeshore Lodge Room Prices Revealed

Disney has not published a comprehensive rate chart covering every room category and travel date.

However, DVC Fan obtained several cash quotes from Disney Vacation Club Member Services when early reservations opened October 6.

The prices were quoted for the resort’s opening night, July 1, 2027, and include taxes and fees.

Here are the initial rates:

Room Category Opening Night Price
Duo Studio – Preferred View $494.44
Deluxe Studio – Preferred View $628.60
One-Bedroom Villa – Resort View $858.10
Resort Studio – Club Access $869.92
One-Bedroom Villa – Preferred View $961.04
Two-Bedroom Villa – Preferred View $1,587.10
Two-Bedroom Lake House $3,621.37

These are individual quotes for specific room categories on one date, not starting prices guaranteed throughout the year.

Actual rates will vary depending on travel dates, room availability and accommodation type.

Nevertheless, the figures demonstrate the substantial range of experiences Disney is offering at the new resort.

Guests seeking a relatively compact studio will encounter a considerably different price point than those interested in one of the property’s exclusive waterfront Lake Houses.

Reservations Now Available to the General Public

Disney opened cash reservations in three phases.

Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members received the first opportunity to book on October 6.

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders gained access October 7.

Beginning October 8, reservations are available to all guests, regardless of Disney Vacation Club membership or Annual Passholder status.

Guests can book through Walt Disney World’s official website or by calling Disney at (407) 934-7639.

Although Lakeshore Lodge is being developed as a Disney Vacation Club resort, membership is not required to make a cash reservation.

That distinction is important for visitors unfamiliar with Disney Vacation Club.

The property’s accommodations will include vacation villas and other room categories, but eligible rooms can also be booked by guests paying conventional hotel rates.

Disney Vacation Club points-based reservations operate under a separate booking process.

A Wide Variety of Accommodations

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will feature 967 accommodations overlooking Bay Lake.

The resort’s design draws inspiration from the natural world and several classic Disney animated films.

Duo Studios, designed for two guests, will feature artwork and decorative details inspired by Encanto.

Deluxe Studios and larger villas will incorporate elements from Bambi, emphasizing woodland scenery and natural materials.

Resort Studios will draw inspiration from Pocahontas, while three-bedroom Grand Villas will celebrate the artistry of Fantasia.

The resort’s most distinctive accommodations may be its freestanding Lake Houses.

Inspired by Brother Bear, these A-frame waterfront retreats will feature expansive windows, private porches, full kitchens and views of Bay Lake.

One-bedroom Lake Houses will accommodate up to five guests, while two-bedroom versions will sleep up to eight.

The initial $3,621.37 opening-night quote for a two-bedroom Lake House places these accommodations firmly in Walt Disney World’s luxury lodging category.

New Restaurants and Recreation Coming to Lakeshore Lodge

The resort will also introduce several dining experiences.

Moonglade will serve as the property’s signature table-service restaurant, featuring waterfront views and dishes emphasizing seasonal ingredients.

Bay Lake Provisions will provide quick-service dining, specialty coffee and convenient grab-and-go options.

Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will offer casual food and beverages near the resort’s main recreation area.

Two additional lounges are planned.

Branch & Brush will occupy a space near the grand lobby, while Dandelion Terrace will provide views of Magic Kingdom fireworks across Bay Lake.

The resort’s outdoor recreation area, known as The Wetlands, will feature a zero-entry swimming pool, waterslide, lazy river and themed children’s play areas.

Guests will also have access to boat transportation to Magic Kingdom and complimentary bus service to other Walt Disney World destinations.

A Historic Location Gets a New Beginning

Lakeshore Lodge occupies a particularly significant piece of Walt Disney World property.

The resort is being constructed along Bay Lake on land associated with the former Disney’s River Country water park.

River Country opened in June 1976 as Walt Disney World’s first water park.

Its rustic swimming areas, winding slides and old-fashioned swimming-hole atmosphere made it a favorite among early resort visitors.

The park closed in November 2001 and never reopened.

For years, the abandoned property remained one of Walt Disney World’s most recognizable reminders of an earlier era.

Disney initially announced plans for a nature-inspired resort called Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge in 2018, but that project was subsequently suspended.

The Lakeshore Lodge development represents the long-awaited transformation of the site into a new vacation destination.

Disney has even announced plans for a historical tribute acknowledging the former attraction.

What Guests Should Know Before Booking

With general-public reservations beginning October 8, guests interested in staying at Lakeshore Lodge can begin comparing room categories and travel dates.

The first published cash quotes suggest that pricing will vary dramatically depending on the accommodations selected.

Travelers should also remember that the resort remains under construction.

Disney currently plans to open Lakeshore Lodge on July 1, 2027, but guests should review reservation terms and cancellation policies before finalizing their plans.

For longtime Walt Disney World fans, the opening carries additional significance.

A location once home to one of the resort’s most beloved extinct attractions is preparing to welcome guests again, this time as a sprawling waterfront hotel.

And with reservations opening to everyone, that transformation is no longer just something to watch from construction photos.

Guests can now begin planning their first stay.
