Grand Floridian Café appears to have a reopening date after spending the summer and early fall behind refurbishment walls at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Walt Disney World’s dining calendar now shows dinner reservations beginning Nov. 2, 2026, pointing to that date as the restaurant’s return.
Disney has not issued a separate announcement formally declaring Nov. 2 as reopening day. However, the return of dinner availability lines up with the company’s previously announced refurbishment schedule, which called for Grand Floridian Café to remain closed from mid-July through October.
The restaurant closed after service on July 19, with the refurbishment beginning July 20. Throughout the closure, Disney has continued offering Grand Floridian Café’s brunch service at Cítricos, the signature restaurant located on the resort’s second floor.
The temporary brunch is currently served at Cítricos from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner reservations at the refurbished Grand Floridian Café are now available beginning Nov. 2, but brunch reservations have not yet appeared there for that date. At the same time, the temporary Cítricos brunch schedule currently ends before Nov. 2.
That suggests brunch is also expected to return to Grand Floridian Café when the restaurant reopens, though Disney has not yet confirmed the complete operating schedule. Additional reservation times could be added as reopening day approaches.

Disney has also not provided a detailed preview of the refurbishment itself. The company previously described the project as a “refresh,” without revealing specific changes to the dining room, furnishings or overall design. Guests will likely have to wait until the restaurant reopens for a full look at the updated space.
Grand Floridian Café is located on the first floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and offers casual American dining in a setting overlooking the resort’s gardens and courtyard pool. Its menu combines breakfast and lunch favorites during brunch with a broader selection of dinner entrées later in the day.
Before the refurbishment, brunch choices included Eggs Benedict, salads, sandwiches and the Grand Floridian Café Burger. Dinner offerings have included dishes such as Buttermilk-Fried Chicken, steak and vegetable curry. Disney has not announced whether significant menu changes will accompany the restaurant’s reopening.
Other restaurants at the Grand Floridian have remained available during the Café’s closure, including 1900 Park Fare, Gasparilla Island Grill and the resort’s signature dining locations.
The Café project is only one part of a much larger refurbishment underway at Disney’s flagship Magic Kingdom-area resort. Disney says renovations will continue in select portions of the Grand Floridian through early 2027, including work around the covered entrance. Guests may continue to see construction activity or encounter temporary changes to walking routes even after the Café returns.
Recent projects have gradually updated multiple parts of the Victorian-inspired resort while maintaining its upscale identity. The continuing work means the reopening of Grand Floridian Café will represent another completed piece of that broader transformation rather than the end of construction across the property.
For guests hoping to return to the restaurant, Nov. 2 is now the key date to watch. With dinner reservations available and the timing matching Disney’s original refurbishment window, all signs point to Grand Floridian Café welcoming diners again at the beginning of November.
