Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is reportedly preparing to serve its final guests at Disney Springs, with Sept. 13, 2026, expected to be the restaurant’s last day of operation. The closure would bring an end to the current Town Center restaurant and conclude nearly three decades of Wolfgang Puck-branded dining at the Walt Disney World shopping and entertainment district.
The Main Street Mouse reported the impending closure Aug. 30, with other Disney news outlets subsequently confirming the Sept. 13 date through restaurant Cast Members and dining availability. As of early September, Walt Disney World’s online dining calendar does not show reservations for Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill beyond Sept. 13.
Disney and Wolfgang Puck have not issued a detailed public announcement explaining the closure, and no replacement for the restaurant has been announced. Because of that, the reason behind the decision and future plans for the prominent Town Center location remain unclear.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill opened in November 2018, bringing a new version of the celebrity chef’s California-inspired cuisine to Disney Springs. Located near Planet Hollywood and the Coca-Cola Store, the restaurant was designed as a modern take on a traditional bar and grill, with a farmhouse-inspired interior and a more relaxed atmosphere than some of Puck’s fine-dining concepts.
Disney’s current description highlights Mediterranean influences and updated comfort-food classics. The menu includes dishes such as bruschetta, crab cakes, truffled potato chips, pizzas, pasta and a selection of meat and seafood entrées, along with handcrafted cocktails, beer and wine. The restaurant also serves brunch, making it one of several Disney Springs locations offering a dedicated weekend morning menu.
Although the current restaurant has operated for less than eight years, Wolfgang Puck’s connection to the district stretches back much further.
Wolfgang Puck Grand Café opened on Disney Springs’ West Side in September 1997, when the entertainment complex was still known as Downtown Disney. The restaurant included both a casual café and an upstairs dining room and remained in operation until August 2017. That space was later redeveloped for Jaleo by José Andrés.
Disney announced the newer Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill shortly before the Grand Café closed, allowing Puck’s presence at Disney Springs to continue in the Town Center area. The Bar & Grill officially welcomed its first guests the following year.
The expected closure comes during another period of change for Disney Springs, where restaurants, shops and entertainment offerings continue to evolve. However, there is currently no indication whether Disney plans another restaurant for the Wolfgang Puck space, whether a different concept could reuse the building, or when any future tenant might be announced.
For guests hoping to dine at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill one final time, Sept. 13 is currently reported as the final operating day. Disney’s website continues to list the restaurant and its regular operating information, but reservations disappear from the calendar beginning Sept. 14.
Unless another Wolfgang Puck concept is announced for the property, the closure will mark the end of a dining relationship at Disney Springs that began in 1997. While the future of the Town Center location remains unknown, the departure represents a notable change for a restaurant brand that has been part of the district through multiple eras of its transformation.
