Disney World looks very different than it did even a year ago, and more changes are coming fast. In this video, we’re breaking down what is closed at Walt Disney World right now, what is about to shut down for refurbishment, and which attractions have recently closed for good. Can you identify 25 Walt Disney World resorts from nothing but a picture of their lobby? In this Disney World GeoGuessr Challenge, you’ll see lobbies from Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Disney Vacation Club resorts across Walt Disney World, then try to name the correct resort before the answer is revealed. Some should be instantly recognizable, like Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Others dive into newer resorts and DVC properties like Disney’s Riviera Resort, Bay Lake Tower, Kidani Village, and Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. The resorts stretch across more than five decades of Walt Disney World history, from the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness in 1971 to the Island Tower and new Fort Wilderness cabins in 2024. Some clues feature recognizable landmarks, but others dive much deeper into restaurant interiors, attraction queues, murals, shops, backstage gates, architectural details, and easy-to-miss corners of the parks. Knowing Cinderella Castle or Spaceship Earth will not help you much with some of these. Keep track of your score out of 25 and drop your final total in the comments.
