Toluca Legs Turkey Co. was a former quick-service kiosk on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, best remembered as the park’s dedicated home for Disney’s oversized smoked turkey legs. Located within the Sunset Ranch Market dining area, it sat among other casual food windows such as Rosie’s All-American Café, Catalina Eddie’s, Anaheim Produce, and Hollywood Scoops. The market opened in June 1994 as part of the larger Sunset Boulevard expansion, which gave the then-Disney-MGM Studios a much-needed new corridor of dining, entertainment, shopping, and eventually major attractions.

The stand’s name was a playful Hollywood-style pun, combining the glamour of Sunset Boulevard with the very unglamorous but beloved Disney turkey leg. Its menu was famously limited, which was part of the charm. Guests came to Toluca Legs for jumbo turkey legs, cold drinks, and little else. At times, menu offerings included turkey legs with sides such as chips, baked beans, or corn, but the location’s identity was always centered on that massive, salty, smoky park snack.

Toluca Legs worked because it fit the casual, open-air rhythm of Sunset Ranch Market. This section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios was designed to evoke the feeling of a Southern California outdoor food market, with multiple windows surrounding a shared seating area. Instead of one large food court, guests could choose from pizza, burgers, produce, ice cream, or turkey legs depending on the stand. Toluca Legs added a very specific kind of theme park indulgence to that lineup.

Historically, the kiosk also reflects a period when turkey legs were among Walt Disney World’s most visible and recognizable snacks. They were not subtle, and they were not universally loved, but they became part of the parks’ food culture because of their scale, smell, and novelty. Carrying one down Sunset Boulevard was practically its own visual gag.

Toluca Legs Turkey Co. closed in 2016 as Disney’s Hollywood Studios moved away from turkey legs in that park. The location was replaced by Sunshine Day Café, which later evolved into Sunshine Day Bar. Today, Toluca Legs is remembered less as a full restaurant and more as a very specific piece of Hollywood Studios snack history: a small kiosk with a big personality, tied to an era when one giant turkey leg could define an entire food stand.
