Disney Lorcana is moving into a much more prominent position at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts. Official Disney festival pages now identify the 2027 event as the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Presented by Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, elevating the collectible card game from a featured activity to the festival’s named presenting sponsor. It is a notable change for an event traditionally marketed around visual art, creative food, and Broadway performances.

The festival will run from January 15 through March 1, 2027. That is a 46-day span, compared with 39 days for the 2026 event. The extra week gives visitors more opportunities to see changing performers, browse visiting artists’ work, and sample food offerings. It also extends the festival into the beginning of March, creating a different planning window for guests who previously associated the event almost entirely with January and February.
Lorcana’s expanded role follows its introduction to the festival in 2026. Disney has indicated that interactive elements such as Ink & Find, Collection Quest, and the Illumineer’s Lounge are expected to return, along with promotional merchandise opportunities. A previously announced Figment card associated with the festival also gives EPCOT collectors a particularly relevant reason to watch for more details. Exact participation rules, availability, and distribution arrangements have not all been published.
The culinary portion of the event is also attracting attention. Current reporting points to 19 Food Studios for 2027, compared with Disney’s description of more than 20 for the previous year. That numerical difference should not yet be treated as proof that specific booths have been eliminated. Disney has not released the full 2027 studio lineup or menus, and the count could reflect changes in how locations are categorized. Until the complete list is published, the only responsible conclusion is that the advertised total is different.
Several familiar festival components remain part of the plan. The DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series is returning to the America Gardens Theatre, and Disney’s festival pages continue to highlight experiences such as Animation Academy, the Expression Section mural, chalk art, visual art demonstrations, and Artful Photo Ops. Concerts are included with regular EPCOT admission, while dining packages offer a separate way to secure seating when those details become available.

Festival of the Arts began in 2017, giving EPCOT a winter event built around artistic expression in several forms. Its food booths became known for dishes presented with unusual care, while gallery spaces and artist appearances provided a different pace from the park’s rides. The Lorcana partnership adds a more overt game and collectibles component to that identity, but Disney has not suggested the festival is abandoning its traditional art programming.
For families and collectors, the expanded card-game presence could affect how they plan their visit. Some activities may require additional time, while promotional items may be limited or subject to specific conditions. Those details will matter once Disney releases the complete operating information. For visitors primarily interested in food or music, the longer event window may be the more significant change.
The full performer lineup, artist schedule, Food Studio menus, prices, and many Lorcana participation details are still pending. What is already confirmed is the new presenting-sponsor name, the January 15–March 1 dates, and the continued emphasis on a mix of food, art, and entertainment. The next round of announcements will determine how much the expanded partnership changes the experience on the ground.
