Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the 2026 Christmas season will once again have an opportunity to meet Santa Claus, and Disney has now confirmed the dates, location, and operating hours for his holiday appearance.
Santa Claus is scheduled to greet guests at Walt Disney Presents from November 13 through December 24, 2026, with daily operating hours listed as 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The newly published schedule provides additional details about one of the park’s traditional holiday character experiences, which returns to the same location used during the 2025 Christmas season.
The announcement also confirms another temporary change at Hollywood Studios: Ariel’s character greeting will move to a different location while Santa occupies the Walt Disney Presents meet-and-greet space.
Santa Returns to Walt Disney Presents
For the second consecutive year, Santa Claus will meet guests inside Walt Disney Presents, located in the park’s Animation Courtyard area.
The attraction is best known for its exhibits celebrating the life and career of Walt Disney, along with displays highlighting Disney’s filmmaking history and upcoming projects.
During the Christmas season, the location also serves as a home for Santa’s holiday meet-and-greet.
The arrangement provides an indoor setting where families can visit Santa while exploring one of Hollywood Studios’ longstanding attractions.
Disney currently lists the experience as operating daily from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
As with other character greetings, operating hours may change. Guests should check the My Disney Experience app on the day of their visit for the latest schedule.
Santa’s first scheduled appearance is November 13, which also marks the official beginning of Walt Disney World’s 2026 holiday season.
His final scheduled day is December 24, Christmas Eve.
The current announcement does not identify a Santa Claus greeting at Hollywood Studios on Christmas Day.
Santa’s Former Location Closed in 2025
Santa’s return to Walt Disney Presents continues a location change introduced during the 2025 holiday season.
For several years, Hollywood Studios hosted Santa Claus inside It’s A Wonderful Shop, a Christmas-themed merchandise location near Muppet Courtyard.
That location closed in 2025 as Disney began preparing the surrounding area for its upcoming Monsters, Inc. expansion.
With the former greeting space no longer available, Disney relocated Santa to Walt Disney Presents.
The move allowed the park to preserve its traditional Santa Claus experience while construction and redevelopment continued elsewhere.
The same arrangement will return for Christmas 2026.
Although Santa’s location is unchanged from last year, the newly confirmed operating dates and hours give guests more specific information for planning their visits.
Ariel Will Temporarily Move to Echo Lake
Santa’s arrival also affects another character greeting at Walt Disney Presents.
The live-action version of Ariel, inspired by Disney’s 2023 adaptation of The Little Mermaid, has used the attraction’s meet-and-greet space for several years.
During the Christmas season, Ariel will temporarily relocate to the Echo Lake area near 50’s Prime Time Café.
This is the same arrangement Disney used during the 2025 holiday season.
The relocation allows guests to continue meeting Ariel while Walt Disney Presents accommodates Santa Claus.
Guests interested in meeting both characters should pay attention to the different locations.
Walt Disney Presents is situated in the park’s former Animation Courtyard area, while Echo Lake is closer to Hollywood & Vine, 50’s Prime Time Café, and the surrounding dining and entertainment locations.
Disney has not announced an exact date for Ariel’s return to her usual greeting location following the holiday season.
Santa Duffy Will Appear During Disney Jollywood Nights
There is another important distinction for guests attending Disney Jollywood Nights.
During the separately ticketed Christmas event, Santa Duffy will meet guests inside Walt Disney Presents instead of the traditional Santa Claus character.
Duffy, the Disney Bear, is a popular character associated with Disney’s international theme parks and seasonal merchandise collections.
His appearance gives Jollywood Nights attendees a different holiday character experience from the one available during regular park hours.
Disney Jollywood Nights begins November 7, 2026, with additional events scheduled throughout the holiday season and into January 2027.
Guests hoping to meet Santa Claus should plan around his published daytime schedule rather than assuming he will appear during the separately ticketed evening event.
Holiday Displays Already Arriving at Hollywood Studios
