One of the most sought-after dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is officially off the board.
The December 22 event at Magic Kingdom-the final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the 2026 season and the party date closest to Christmas Day-has sold out. That makes it the second date to reach capacity this year, following the November 24 party that sold out in late September.

For guests still hoping to attend the holiday event, there is good news: most of the 2026 schedule remains available as of October 2.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs for 25 select nights this year, beginning November 8 and continuing through December 22. Remaining dates include November 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 25, 27 and 29, along with December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 20. Availability can change at any time as additional nights sell out.
The December 22 sellout is not particularly surprising. The final party traditionally attracts strong demand because it falls immediately before Christmas and provides one of the last opportunities of the season to experience Magic Kingdom’s full separately ticketed holiday event.
What is more unusual is how much availability remains elsewhere on the calendar.
The first 2026 sellout did not occur until September 28, when tickets disappeared for the November 24 party, which falls immediately before Thanksgiving. By comparison, the first sold-out dates arrived considerably earlier during the previous two seasons.
In 2025, opening night sold out on September 10, and the final December party followed later that month. The entire 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party season was sold out by November 19. In 2024, the first sellout arrived September 3, with every party eventually selling out by November 30.
So far, 2026 is following a different pattern.
Opening night on November 8 remains available, while demand appears to be concentrating first around major holiday-adjacent dates.
That could still change rapidly as the Christmas season approaches.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is one of Walt Disney World’s longest-running seasonal events and takes over Magic Kingdom after the park closes to regular day guests on select nights. The party officially runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, although ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m. without purchasing separate daytime park admission.
The 2026 event includes several returning holiday traditions.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade brings Disney characters, toy soldiers, gingerbread performers and Santa Claus through Magic Kingdom, while Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks provides the event’s holiday nighttime spectacular.
Cinderella Castle also hosts Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, and Frozen Holiday Surprise returns with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and the Snowgies. Storybook Circus once again becomes home to Santa’s Christmas Carnival, giving families an opportunity to meet Santa while participating in additional activities.
Special character appearances are another major part of the party. Disney has confirmed Anna and Elsa in holiday attire at Princess Fairytale Hall, Mickey and Minnie in seasonal outfits at Town Square Theater, and Jack Skellington appearing as Sandy Claws alongside Sally.
Several attractions remain open throughout the evening, with some receiving holiday additions specifically for the event. Complimentary cookies and beverages are distributed at locations around Magic Kingdom as part of the admission price.
Tickets for 2026 range from $189 to $229 per person, plus tax, depending on the date. The starting price increased by $20 from 2025, although the $229 maximum remained unchanged.
The current sellout pattern is particularly interesting when compared with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Every date for the 2026 Halloween event sold out before Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party recorded its first sellout, despite both being separately ticketed Magic Kingdom events. That does not necessarily predict how Christmas Party sales will develop over the next several weeks, but it does mean guests currently have considerably more flexibility when choosing a Christmas date than they did for Halloween.
Anyone specifically hoping to attend immediately before Christmas, however, has now missed that window.
With December 22 unavailable and November 24 already sold out, 23 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates remained available as of October 2. Guests with limited date flexibility-particularly those considering weekends, Thanksgiving week or dates approaching Christmas-may want to keep a close eye on availability as November gets closer.
