Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios now have another way to enjoy beverages from Oga’s Cantina without spending time inside the popular Star Wars-themed lounge.

A new to-go beverage service has been introduced at Oga’s Cantina, allowing guests to purchase drinks directly from a designated ordering area outside the establishment.
The change is particularly noteworthy because Oga’s Cantina has traditionally operated as a highly controlled lounge experience, with guests generally entering through a reservation or walk-up process before ordering beverages.
The new service provides an alternative for visitors who want to try one of the cantina’s specialty drinks without committing to the full indoor experience.
How the New Oga’s Cantina To-Go Service Works
The new ordering location is situated near the entrance to Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Guests interested in purchasing drinks to go should approach the hostess stand, where a separate queue has been established on the right side.
Brown banners identifying the area as the “Oga’s To-Go Queue” have been attached to the ropes, distinguishing the new service from the regular entrance.
Cast Members provide a menu to guests waiting to order.
Although the menu includes the cantina’s regular offerings, the new service is currently limited to beverages.
Food items are not available through the to-go ordering location.
Guests are also limited to two drinks per identification.
That restriction is particularly relevant for visitors purchasing alcoholic beverages, although guests should confirm any applicable purchasing requirements with Cast Members.
The new arrangement effectively separates beverage purchases from the traditional indoor cantina experience.
For visitors who are primarily interested in trying a particular drink, the service offers another option that does not require entering the lounge.
Drinks Are Served in Plastic Cups
One important difference between the new to-go service and the regular Oga’s Cantina experience involves beverage presentation.
All drinks purchased through the to-go queue are served in plastic cups.
Inside Oga’s Cantina, beverages are traditionally presented in themed glassware or specialty containers appropriate to the drink.
The new arrangement eliminates that presentation for beverages intended to be carried away from the establishment.
However, guests can still purchase drinks associated with souvenir mugs.
In those cases, the beverage is served separately in a plastic cup, while the collectible mug is provided new and packaged in a box.
That distinction is useful for collectors who want to purchase one of Oga’s specialty vessels without having to carry a used drinking container around Hollywood Studios.
It also means guests should not expect their to-go beverage to arrive in the same presentation used inside the cantina.
A Significant Change for One of Galaxy’s Edge’s Most Popular Dining Locations
Oga’s Cantina opened with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29, 2019.
The establishment is designed as a lively watering hole on the planet Batuu, with a detailed interior, unusual beverages, and entertainment provided by DJ R-3X.
The droid, originally known to Disney Parks fans as Captain RX-24 from the original Star Tours attraction, serves as the cantina’s resident musical entertainer.
The location quickly became one of Galaxy’s Edge’s most recognizable experiences.
Unlike a conventional quick-service restaurant, Oga’s emphasizes atmosphere and themed beverages rather than a full meal.
Its relatively compact interior and distinctive setting have also made reservations desirable, particularly during busy periods.
The introduction of a separate to-go queue changes the way guests can access part of that experience.
Visitors no longer necessarily need to enter the cantina to purchase one of its drinks.
That does not mean the full Oga’s Cantina experience is available outside.
Guests using the to-go service will not receive the same atmosphere, entertainment, or themed beverage presentation associated with spending time inside the lounge.
Instead, the new service provides access to the beverage menu through a more straightforward purchasing process.
What the Change Means for Hollywood Studios Guests
The new to-go option could be especially useful for guests exploring Galaxy’s Edge who have limited time or cannot secure a desirable reservation.
It also provides another alternative for visitors who have already experienced the cantina and simply want to purchase a favorite beverage.
Disney has not announced whether the new service is permanent, whether it will operate throughout the cantina’s regular hours, or whether the menu will eventually expand beyond beverages.
No separate operating schedule for the to-go queue has been confirmed.
Guests should also be aware that the availability of individual drinks may vary.
For now, the confirmed change is that Oga’s Cantina has established a clearly marked exterior ordering queue where guests can purchase beverages to go.
The new service represents a meaningful operational expansion for one of Hollywood Studios’ signature themed dining experiences, giving guests another way to enjoy Oga’s Cantina without entering the lounge itself.
