The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk has introduced a new afternoon dining experience, giving guests another option for drinks, snacks, and desserts without committing to a full restaurant meal.
Called Cake Bake Social, the offering takes place Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the restaurant’s bar and lounge.

The new experience features a dedicated menu of specialty cocktails, selected wines, savory appetizers, and a rotating dessert.
Guests can reserve lounge tables in advance or visit the bar on a first-come, first-served basis.
The addition provides a new way to experience one of Walt Disney World’s most distinctive restaurants.
Cake Bake Social Offers a New Afternoon Menu
The Cake Bake Shop is known for its elaborate dining room, ornate decorations, and extensive selection of cakes and pastries.
Its new afternoon experience focuses on a smaller menu.
Rather than ordering from the restaurant’s regular lunch or dinner offerings, guests can select from a collection of drinks, appetizers, and a specialty dessert.
The experience is available four days each week, from Monday through Thursday.
Service runs between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The schedule makes Cake Bake Social an option for guests taking a midday break from EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, both of which are accessible from the BoardWalk area.
It is also convenient for guests staying at nearby resorts.
Three Specialty Cocktails Available
The Cake Bake Social menu features three signature cocktails, each priced at $13.
The Pink Lady Margarita combines tequila, peach liqueur, guava, and lime.
The Cake Bake Shop Shake Up features vodka, lemon, and lemon bitters.
The Lavender Collins combines gin, lavender, lemon, mint, and tonic.
The menu also includes three selected wines priced at $10 per glass.
Those selections are Bernier Val de Loire Chardonnay, Umani Ronchi Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Podere, and Saint-Hilaire Brut.
The limited beverage selection gives guests several choices without requiring them to navigate the restaurant’s complete drinks menu.
New Small Bites Include Fries and Sliders
The savory portion of the Cake Bake Social menu features two dishes.
Pommes Frites with Signature Sauces are priced at $11.
Guests can select three sauces from eight options: garlic aioli, lemon aioli, basil aioli, ketchup, Dijonnaise, ranch, rémoulade, and pimento sauce.
The second offering is Pimento Burger Sliders, priced at $16.
The sliders feature Certified Angus Beef served on miniature brioche buns with pimento cheese, pickles, and a pimento cheese dipping sauce.
Both dishes are designed as smaller dining options rather than full restaurant entrées.
For guests visiting with friends or family, they also provide opportunities to share something savory while enjoying the lounge.
A Rotating Cake Shake Completes the Menu
Dessert is represented by the Cake Bake Cake Shake of the Day.
The specialty shake costs $10.
Its flavor changes, so guests may encounter different selections depending on when they visit.
The rotating format gives the restaurant flexibility to introduce different flavors without maintaining an extensive afternoon dessert menu.
The Cake Bake Shop’s regular bakery remains available separately for guests interested in purchasing cakes and other baked goods.
Reservations and Walk-In Seating
Cake Bake Social takes place in the restaurant’s bar and lounge.
Guests who prefer a table can make reservations through OpenTable.
Bar seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The restaurant has not announced a separate admission charge for the experience.
Guests pay for the food and beverages they order.
Cake Bake Social is also separate from the restaurant’s Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea.
The tea experience continues as its own offering.
A New Chapter for the Former ESPN Club
The Cake Bake Shop opened at Disney’s BoardWalk in October 2024.
The restaurant occupies the former ESPN Club location, which had been a longtime fixture of the waterfront entertainment district.
The transformation introduced an entirely different dining concept.
Where ESPN Club emphasized sports, casual dining, and television screens, The Cake Bake Shop focuses on elaborate desserts, ornate interiors, and a more formal atmosphere.
Its menu has attracted considerable attention since opening, particularly because of its prices.
Cake Bake Social introduces a smaller selection of items with clearly published prices.
Although the offering is not necessarily inexpensive compared with other happy-hour experiences around Orlando, it provides a different entry point for guests who want to experience the restaurant without ordering a complete meal.
What Guests Should Know
Cake Bake Social is now available Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Advance table reservations are available, while bar seating is offered to walk-in guests.
The new menu includes $13 cocktails, $10 wines, $11 fries, $16 sliders, and a $10 specialty shake.
For guests exploring the Crescent Lake resort area, the new offering adds another afternoon dining option at a location that has already become one of the BoardWalk’s most recognizable destinations.
