Park: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is where the stories you love come to life. Originally opened as Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, the park has transitioned from a working film studio into a collection of the most immersive “worlds” in theme park history, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.

What’s New in February 2026?

As of this month, the park is undergoing a major entertainment shift. The Animation Courtyard is currently being reimagined, but guests can now enjoy the fully debuted “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” which features state-of-the-art puppetry and live performance.

• Last Call for Aerosmith: Fans have until March 1, 2026, to ride the classic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. On March 2, the attraction will close for a massive retheme featuring The Muppets, slated to open this summer.
• The Monsters are Coming: Initial site preparation has begun in the Muppet Courtyard area for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. Land, which will feature the first-ever suspended “Door Vault” coaster in a Disney park.
• Roaming Droids: Keep an eye out for the BDX droids roaming Batuu—these expressive, free-roaming robots are currently testing spontaneous interactions with guests throughout the day.
