Magic Kingdom guests will have a little more time after New Year’s Day to experience Jingle Cruise, but the holiday version of the Adventureland boat ride will not remain in place for the entire Walt Disney World Christmas season. Disney’s current operating calendar identifies Monday, January 4, 2027, as the final day for Jingle Cruise, with the regular Jungle Cruise scheduled to return on Tuesday, January 5.

That gives the 2026 holiday overlay a run of approximately nine weeks, beginning November 3. The return date is especially useful for visitors planning early-January trips: January 4 is presently the last opportunity to hear the seasonal skipper jokes, while January 5 is the first scheduled day for the attraction’s familiar, non-holiday presentation. As with all posted operating calendars, these dates can change.
Jingle Cruise is not a separate ride or an event requiring an additional ticket. It is the seasonal version of Jungle Cruise, which continues to operate along its usual Adventureland route. During the overlay, the Jungle Navigation Company’s boat crews decorate their surroundings with improvised Christmas trimmings, mail-order holiday supplies and other intentionally mismatched items. The boats receive seasonal names, and the skippers fold Christmas references into the attraction’s famously elaborate collection of groan-worthy jokes.
Disney introduced Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom in 2013. What began as an unusual holiday makeover has since become a fixture of the park’s Christmas calendar. It also stands apart from the seasonal effects offered at some Tomorrowland attractions during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Jingle Cruise can be experienced with ordinary Magic Kingdom admission during regular operating hours, so guests do not need to purchase a party ticket to ride it.

The current calendar lists Jingle Cruise operating from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on its final day, January 4, and Jungle Cruise operating during the same hours on January 5. Earlier in the holiday season, the posted schedule generally runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on non-party days. Regular park hours end earlier on many Christmas party nights, while late-December operating hours vary. Visitors should consult the date-specific Disney calendar rather than assuming that a posted time applies throughout the season.
There is an interesting difference between the ride’s end date and the broader holiday celebration. Walt Disney World’s announced Christmas season continues through January 6, 2027, but Jingle Cruise is scheduled to return to its normal form two days earlier. That is not unprecedented. The overlay’s final date has varied by season, including a January 1 finish for the previous edition, followed by the regular Jungle Cruise on January 2, 2026.
For families arriving just after Christmas, the January 4 date offers a clear planning marker. Anyone hoping to see the seasonal version should make time for it before the switch. Conversely, guests who prefer the classic skipper routine will not have to wait until all of Disney World’s holiday decorations and entertainment have concluded.
Disney’s attraction page describes Jingle Cruise as a limited-time transformation and says Jungle Cruise returns early in the new year. The specific January dates come from the current operating calendar, not a separate announcement promising that the schedule cannot move. For now, however, the 2026–27 holiday run has a defined ending, and Adventureland’s familiar river expedition is scheduled to resume on January 5.
