Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is the upcoming Encanto-themed attraction coming to Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Planned as one of the new land’s headlining family experiences, the ride will bring guests inside Casita Madrigal for a celebration centered on Antonio, the youngest Madrigal child, whose magical gift allows him to communicate with animals.
That focus makes the attraction an especially strong fit for Animal Kingdom. Encanto could have been adapted as a straightforward musical ride, but centering the story on Antonio gives Disney a natural bridge between the film’s magical family themes and the park’s long-standing emphasis on animals, nature, and interconnected life. Disney has described the heart of the attraction as the idea that everyone is part of the same living family, whether or not they possess a special magical gift.
The ride takes place on Antonio’s gift day, with guests invited into Casita as part of the celebration. The ride vehicles are designed to feel as if pieces of furniture have been assembled by Casita itself, giving the attraction a playful, animated quality before guests move through the magical house. The journey eventually leads upstairs to Antonio’s room, which has transformed into a lush rainforest filled with animals. Disney has said more than 50 animals will be represented in the attraction, including species chosen with input from Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team to help ensure an accurate connection to Colombia.
The attraction is also notable for its accessibility. Disney has said Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will have no height requirement, making it one of Tropical Americas’ key all-ages experiences. Returning Encanto voice actors, including Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, Jessica Darrow as Luisa, and Diane Guerrero as Isabela, are also lending their voices to the attraction, helping tie the ride directly back to the film’s emotional and musical world.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto represents a major new chapter for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It replaces part of DinoLand U.S.A.’s footprint as the park shifts toward Tropical Americas, a land designed around rainforest mythology, culture, exploration, and wildlife. For Animal Kingdom, the attraction’s biggest promise is not simply that it brings a popular Disney Animation film into the park, but that it does so through a story that can genuinely support the park’s larger themes. If executed well, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto could become one of Disney World’s most important modern family dark rides: colorful, musical, animal-filled, and rooted in the emotional warmth of the Madrigal family.
