Disney Jollywood Nights 2026: Complete Guide to Dates, Tickets, Shows, Characters, Food & More

Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for its fourth holiday season in 2026, bringing old-Hollywood glamour, Christmas entertainment, rare Disney characters, specialty food and drinks, lower attraction waits, live music and one of Walt Disney World’s most distinctive holiday parties back to the park.

The 2026 event runs on 15 select nights from November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027. That January extension is a first for Jollywood Nights, which had ended before Christmas during each of its first three years.

The separately ticketed event takes place from 7:30 PM until 12:30 AM, although ticket holders can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 PM without purchasing a separate daytime park ticket.

Tickets currently range from $169 to $199 plus tax, depending on the event date. Children ages 3 through 9 receive a $10 discount, while Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on every event night.

The 2026 edition adds several new experiences, including the Checkin’ It Twice Lounge in Animation Courtyard, first-time Jollywood Nights appearances by George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc., and new Disney character appearances inside the returning Glisten! skating show.

Returning favorites include Disney Holidays in Hollywood, What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby, Pixar Disco, more than 20 character experiences and event-exclusive merchandise.

There is a lot to fit into five hours.

Here is our complete guide to Disney Jollywood Nights 2026, including dates, ticket prices, entertainment, characters, rides, food, PhotoPass, merchandise, history and tips for making the most of your night.

What Is Disney Jollywood Nights?

Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed Christmas event held after regular park hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom leans heavily into traditional Disney Christmas imagery, parades and castle entertainment, Jollywood Nights was designed around a different identity.

The theme is essentially Christmas in classic Hollywood.

Sunset Boulevard’s Art Deco architecture, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, vintage decorations, jazz music, cocktails and old-fashioned show-business imagery provide a natural backdrop for an event built around the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age.

At the same time, Disney mixes that vintage style with modern character encounters, dance parties, Pixar, Star Wars, The Muppets, The Nightmare Before Christmas and contemporary Disney entertainment.

The result is less of a traditional Christmas party and more of a collection of holiday experiences scattered throughout Hollywood Studios.

During the event, guests can:

  • Watch event-exclusive stage shows
  • See Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
  • Meet rare Disney, Pixar and Star Wars characters
  • Watch the Glisten! skating show
  • Listen to live jazz and swing music
  • Visit themed lounges and entertainment areas
  • Purchase specialty holiday food and cocktails
  • Ride major Hollywood Studios attractions with generally reduced waits
  • Take advantage of Disney PhotoPass downloads included with the event ticket
  • Purchase merchandise available only during Jollywood Nights

Unlike an ordinary Disney After Hours event, however, Jollywood Nights is not primarily about rides.

The exclusive entertainment, characters and atmosphere are the main reason to attend.

Disney Jollywood Nights

The History of Disney Jollywood Nights

Disney Jollywood Nights is still relatively new by Walt Disney World standards.

The event did not exist until 2023, when Disney introduced it as the first major new Walt Disney World holiday party in more than two decades.

Jollywood Nights Debuts in 2023

The first Disney Jollywood Nights took place on November 11, 2023.

The inaugural season included only 10 event nights between November 11 and December 20.

The original party was also shorter than today’s version. Events ran from 8:30 PM until 12:30 AM, giving guests only four hours of official party time.

Tickets ranged from $159 to $179.

Many of the event’s signature experiences were present from the beginning.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy hosted Disney Holidays in Hollywood at Theater of the Stars.

Jack Skellington led What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.

The Twilight Soirée brought live swing music and cocktails to the Hollywood Tower Hotel courtyard.

The Hollywood Brown Derby transformed into Jazzy Holidays.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! returned as the event’s nighttime spectacular.

Disney also introduced Ollie, a small gingerbread character created specifically for Jollywood Nights.

Ollie’s story imagined him as a hopeful gingerbread performer who traveled west to pursue his dreams in Tinseltown—an appropriately whimsical character for a holiday party built around Hollywood ambition and nostalgia.

Jollywood Nights Expands in 2024

Disney made several significant changes for the event’s second year.

Most importantly, Jollywood Nights expanded from four hours to five hours, moving its start time forward to 7:30 PM while retaining the 12:30 AM ending time.

Disney also greatly expanded the character lineup and introduced one of the event’s strongest additions: Glisten!

Presented on a specially constructed skating surface in front of the Chinese Theater, Glisten! brought professional skating into the middle of Hollywood Studios.

International champion skaters performed choreography to holiday music and Disney songs while projections and Art Deco-inspired visuals transformed the center of the park.

The show proved successful enough to become a recurring part of Jollywood Nights.

The Event Continues Growing in 2025

Jollywood Nights returned again in 2025 with additional characters, merchandise, entertainment refinements and an increasingly ambitious food program.

Disney offered more than 80 event-exclusive food and beverage items during the season, including more than 35 new selections.

Restaurants and kiosks throughout Hollywood Studios participated, turning food into a much larger part of the event than it had been during the first season.

The 2025 version also allowed event guests to enter Hollywood Studios at 5:30 PM, giving ticket holders two hours inside the park before the official 7:30 PM start.

That early-entry structure returns for 2026.

Jollywood Nights Reaches January for the First Time in 2026

The fourth year brings another major expansion.

For the first time, Disney Jollywood Nights does not end before Christmas.

The 2026 season continues through January 5, 2027, adding two post-New Year’s events to the schedule.

There are 15 event nights in total, compared with 10 during the original 2023 season.

Disney is also introducing Checkin’ It Twice Lounge, expanding its Monsters, Inc. character presence and adding Disney characters directly into Glisten!.

In only four seasons, Jollywood Nights has evolved considerably from the comparatively short four-hour event that debuted in 2023.

Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 Dates

Disney Jollywood Nights takes place on the following nights:

November 2026

  • November 7
  • November 14
  • November 16
  • November 21
  • November 23
  • November 28

December 2026

  • December 5
  • December 7
  • December 12
  • December 14
  • December 19
  • December 21
  • December 23

January 2027

  • January 3
  • January 5

The January 3 and January 5 parties are particularly noteworthy because they are the first Jollywood Nights events ever held after Christmas or New Year’s Day.

The 2016 holidays season brings a all-new nighttime spectacular to Disney’s Hollywood Studios with “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!.” The facade of the Chinese Theater comes alive with state-of-the-art projections, and guests will experience special effects, fireworks and even snow on, above and around the theater. “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” will run Nov. 14 to Dec. 31, 2016. What Time Is Disney Jollywood Nights?

The official event runs from:

7:30 PM to 12:30 AM

Ticket holders can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning at:

5:30 PM

You do not need a separate Hollywood Studios ticket or theme park reservation if you are entering at 5:30 PM or later using only your Jollywood Nights ticket.

That two-hour period before the official start is extremely useful.

You can eat dinner, ride attractions, explore the park’s normal Christmas decorations or position yourself near one of the event’s first entertainment offerings before the clock starts running on your five party hours.

If you want to enter Hollywood Studios before 5:30 PM, normal daytime admission is required.

How Much Are Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 Tickets?

Disney currently lists 2026 Jollywood Nights tickets at:

$169 to $199 per person, plus tax

Prices vary according to event date.

Children ages 3 through 9 receive a $10 discount.

Disney Vacation Club Members and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can also receive a $10 discount per ticket on all 2026 event dates.

Tickets are date-specific and capacity is limited.

Purchasing a ticket guarantees admission only for the date printed on that ticket. Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable under Disney’s standard event terms.

Popular nights can sell out before the event date, so waiting until the day of the party is risky.

What’s New at Disney Jollywood Nights in 2026?

Disney has made several notable changes for the fourth year of the event.

Checkin’ It Twice Lounge

The biggest entirely new entertainment area is Checkin’ It Twice Lounge in Animation Courtyard.

Disney describes the space as a stylish place to relax, socialize and have a drink between other Jollywood Nights experiences.

The lounge will feature:

  • Specialty beverages
  • A DJ
  • Entertainment throughout the evening

The addition is particularly interesting because Jollywood Nights already has several entertainment areas designed around sitting, listening to music and enjoying drinks rather than continuously moving between rides.

Checkin’ It Twice pushes the event even further in that direction.

Disney has not yet published the complete lounge beverage menu.

George Sanderson and Needleman

Disney is also expanding its Monsters, Inc. representation.

George Sanderson and Needleman make their Jollywood Nights debut in 2026.

Mike Wazowski already participates in Pixar Disco, but these additional characters give Monsters, Inc. fans another reason to seek out the character experiences.

With Monstropolis under development elsewhere in Hollywood Studios, their arrival is especially timely.

Donald, Daisy and Genie Join Glisten!

Glisten! receives its own upgrade for 2026.

The professional skaters remain the stars of the show, but Disney has announced that Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Genie will make appearances during the production.

It is the first time Disney characters have been incorporated into Glisten! in this way.

Jollywood Nights Extends Into January

The calendar itself is another major change.

Jollywood Nights previously ended before Christmas.

In 2026, Disney carries the event through January 5, giving guests visiting immediately after New Year’s Day a rare opportunity to experience one of Walt Disney World’s ticketed Christmas parties after December has ended.

Disney Holidays in Hollywood

One of the signature Jollywood Nights productions returns to the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard.

Disney Holidays in Hollywood is built in the style of an elaborate television Christmas special from Hollywood’s golden age.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy serve as hosts.

They are joined by Disney characters including:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Minnie Mouse
  • Belle
  • Princess Tiana

A cast of singers, dancers and live jazz musicians ties the production together.

The show is a particularly good fit for Jollywood Nights because it captures the event’s central concept better than almost any other attraction: classic Hollywood glamour mixed with Disney characters and Christmas music.

Disney Holidays in Hollywood lasts approximately 30 minutes, making it one of the larger time commitments of the evening.

Do not leave it until the final minutes of your night without checking the schedule.

What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along

Guests looking for something less traditionally festive can head to Hyperion Theater for What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.

Jack Skellington leads guests through a theatrical celebration of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The production combines live performance, theatrical effects and music from the film as guests move between Halloween Town and Christmas Town.

Songs include familiar numbers such as “What’s This?” and “Sally’s Song.”

Oogie Boogie also becomes part of the adventure.

The production has been part of Jollywood Nights since the event’s inaugural season and provides a useful alternative to the more traditional Christmas entertainment elsewhere in the park.

Glisten! Holiday Skating Show

Glisten! returns to the area in front of the Chinese Theater.

Introduced in 2024, the show uses a synthetic skating surface that allows professional skaters to perform in the middle of Central Florida.

International champion skaters perform jumps, spins and choreographed routines accompanied by holiday music, original Jollywood Nights songs and Disney selections such as “Be Our Guest” and “When You Wish Upon a Star.”

The surrounding projections and Art Deco-inspired presentation help tie the skating into Hollywood Studios rather than simply dropping a conventional ice show into the park.

For 2026, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Genie are joining the production.

Because Glisten! is presented outdoors in the center of the park, it is also easier to incorporate into an evening than a theater show that requires waiting, entering and exiting a venue.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

One of Hollywood Studios’ former regular Christmas traditions survives today as a Jollywood Nights exclusive.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! transforms the Chinese Theater with projections, lasers, lighting, fireworks and holiday music.

The story follows Wayne and Lanny from Disney’s Prep & Landing as they attempt to rescue Santa Claus.

Scenes incorporate holiday moments from Disney films including:

  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Mickey’s Christmas Carol
  • Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

The production originally debuted at Hollywood Studios in 2016 and was presented during the regular Christmas season before disappearing after 2019.

Disney revived it when Jollywood Nights launched in 2023.

The current version combines theater projections with fireworks and other effects, while artificial snowfall along Hollywood Boulevard extends the atmosphere beyond the Chinese Theater.

MagicBand+ also interacts with portions of the presentation.

Because Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! is generally one of the few experiences with only a very limited number of performances during the event, build the rest of your schedule around it once Disney posts the final 2026 showtimes.

Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club

Few Jollywood Nights experiences use Hollywood Studios’ existing architecture as effectively as the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club.

The courtyard beneath The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror becomes a 1930s-inspired holiday gathering.

A live band performs swing-style Christmas music while guests relax beneath the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Specialty cocktails are available for purchase.

The attraction looming behind the musicians gives the entire experience the atmosphere of a Christmas party being held at the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel shortly before everything went terribly wrong.

It is sophisticated without being overly formal and is one of the best examples of why Jollywood Nights feels different from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

The space has limited capacity, so guests particularly interested in the live band should not assume they can walk in at any moment and immediately find a prime spot.

Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby

For an even more relaxed experience, The Hollywood Brown Derby becomes home to Jazzy Holidays during the event.

Live musicians perform jazz arrangements and holiday standards while guests order cocktails and small plates from an event-exclusive menu.

Unlike the normal Hollywood Brown Derby dining experience, the regular restaurant menu is not offered during Jazzy Holidays.

Disney strongly recommends reservations because capacity is limited.

Confirmed 2026 menu highlights include:

  • Jazzy Sliders — bison and pork with onion jam and Gorgonzola cheese on brioche
  • Chorizo Arancini — with shaved Parmesan and salmorejo tomato sauce
  • Pork Belly Bao — Korean barbecue, cucumber slaw and soy vinaigrette
  • Tofu Bao — seared tofu, cucumber slaw and soy vinaigrette
  • Char-grilled Chicken Yakitori — crispy rice, passion fruit-soy marinated chicken, cilantro aïoli and watermelon radish
  • Cranberry-Jalapeño Margarita — tequila, Cointreau, lime and house-made cranberry-jalapeño syrup

Food and beverages are not included with the Jollywood Nights ticket.

A Jazzy Holidays reservation also does not include admission to the event. You need a valid Jollywood Nights ticket separately.

The most important planning consideration is time.

A reservation inside the Brown Derby can consume a meaningful portion of a five-hour event, so this experience makes the most sense if live jazz, cocktails and atmosphere are among your highest priorities.

Echo Lake Holiday Celebration

Echo Lake becomes one of the event’s largest character and nostalgia areas.

The atmosphere deliberately draws from Disney television and pop culture of the 1990s and 2000s rather than limiting the event to traditional Mickey-and-friends Christmas imagery.

Characters associated with the area include:

  • Phineas and Ferb
  • Max Goof dressed as Powerline
  • Chip ‘n’ Dale in their Rescue Rangers look
  • Stitch dressed as Santa
  • Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin

The Christmas tree reflected in Echo Lake, Dinosaur Gertie wearing her Santa hat and the surrounding holiday decorations make the area one of the most visually distinctive sections of Hollywood Studios during Christmas.

Pixar Disco

Pixar Plaza becomes a holiday dance party during Jollywood Nights.

The Pixar Disco combines a DJ and dancing with Pixar character appearances.

Disney’s confirmed lineup includes characters such as:

  • Edna Mode
  • Frozone
  • Joy
  • Mike Wazowski

Other Pixar characters may appear as well.

Unlike a conventional meet-and-greet queue, the dance-party format allows guests to interact with characters in a more casual environment.

That also makes Pixar Disco particularly useful for families with children who would rather move around than wait in a traditional character line.

More Than 20 Character Experiences

Characters have become one of Jollywood Nights’ biggest draws.

Disney says the 2026 event will feature more than 20 unique character experiences.

Confirmed or announced characters include:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Minnie Mouse
  • Donald Duck
  • Daisy Duck
  • Goofy
  • Pluto
  • Scrooge McDuck
  • Duffy dressed as Santa
  • Stitch dressed as Santa
  • Phineas and Ferb
  • Max Goof as Powerline
  • Chip ‘n’ Dale as the Rescue Rangers
  • Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin
  • Joy
  • Edna Mode
  • Frozone
  • Mike Wazowski
  • George Sanderson
  • Needleman
  • Lotso
  • Bo Peep
  • The Mandalorian and Grogu

Disney has also previewed additional event appearances including Chewbacca celebrating Life Day, Partysaurus Rex and Bing Bong.

The exact format varies.

Some characters have traditional greeting locations, while others appear as part of dance parties, entertainment areas or shows.

If rare characters are one of your biggest reasons for purchasing a ticket, prioritize them early rather than assuming every character will remain available until 12:30 AM.

What Happened to Holiday Fiesta en la Calle?

Holiday Fiesta en la Calle had been part of Jollywood Nights since the first event in 2023.

The Latin-inspired celebration changed locations multiple times and featured live musicians, food, drinks and characters including José Carioca and Panchito.

However, Disney’s current 2026 Jollywood Nights lineup does not list Holiday Fiesta en la Calle as a returning experience.

Disney has instead announced the new Checkin’ It Twice Lounge in Animation Courtyard.

It is always possible that additional entertainment will be announced as opening night approaches, but until Disney confirms otherwise, guests should not plan their 2026 evening around Holiday Fiesta en la Calle.

Rides Open During Disney Jollywood Nights 2026

Jollywood Nights is not a ride-focused After Hours event, but many of Hollywood Studios’ biggest attractions remain available.

Disney has confirmed:

  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
  • Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • Slinky Dog Dash
  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Toy Story Mania!

Lower waits are one of the benefits of the limited-capacity event, but there is an important tradeoff.

Every 15 minutes spent standing in a ride queue is 15 minutes you cannot spend watching exclusive entertainment that disappears at 12:30 AM.

If you have another Hollywood Studios park day during your vacation, use that day for rides and reserve Jollywood Nights primarily for experiences you cannot see during normal operating hours.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Gets a Holiday Overlay in 2026

There is one particularly good reason to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster during Jollywood Nights this year.

From November 4, 2026 through January 6, 2027, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets receives its first seasonal transformation:

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay.

The overlay begins outside G-Force Records with holiday music around the giant guitar.

Inside, Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot and Lips are preparing for a Christmas concert while Scooter attempts to get the band where it needs to go.

The attraction receives four holiday recordings:

  • “Holiday Road” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
  • “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
  • “Silver Bells” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
  • “Little Saint Nick” — The Electric Mayhem

The overlay is available during normal park hours as well, so it is not exclusive to Jollywood Nights.

Still, reduced party wait times could make the event an especially convenient opportunity to experience it.

Alien Swirling Saucers Gets Holiday Music Too

Alien Swirling Saucers also receives seasonal music in 2026.

From November 4 through January 6, DJ Lilypad presents a holiday edition of Lilypad’s Jams featuring:

  • “Deck the Halls”
  • “Toyland”
  • “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
  • “Joy to the Swirl”

Like the Muppets coaster overlay, the holiday music is available during normal park operations and does not require a Jollywood Nights ticket.

Disney Jollywood Nights Food and Drinks

Food has become a surprisingly substantial part of Jollywood Nights.

The event is not structured around food booths the way an EPCOT festival is, but restaurants, lounges, kiosks and snack locations throughout Hollywood Studios offer limited-time dishes and beverages during the party.

As of October 15, Disney has not yet released the complete 2026 Disney Jollywood Nights Foodie Guide.

Disney has confirmed that returning favorites and new additions are coming and says the full menu will be released later in the fall.

The Christmas Gertie Cookie continues to feature prominently in Disney’s Jollywood Nights imagery, while Jazzy Holidays already has a confirmed 2026 menu.

For context, the 2025 event offered more than 80 exclusive food and beverage choices.

Notable previous selections included:

  • Holiday Turkey Popover at Fairfax Fare
  • Spicy Korean Chicken Funnel Cake at Epic Eats
  • Christmas Gertie Cookie at Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction
  • Sandy Claws Hot Cocoa at Dockside Diner
  • Christmas Tree Cookie Stack
  • Jolly Jam Slider at Backlot Express
  • Jolly Gingerbread Mini Churros
  • Kermit Mint Whirl
  • Miss Piggy Strawberry Glam
  • Macaroni & Cheese Croquettes
  • Coquito
  • Sugar Cookie Martini

Those are examples of the kind of food Jollywood Nights has offered—not a confirmed 2026 menu.

We will update this guide when Disney releases the complete 2026 Foodie Guide.

Disney PhotoPass Is Included

One perk that is easy to underestimate is that Disney PhotoPass digital downloads captured during Jollywood Nights are included with the event ticket.

Disney PhotoPass photographers are positioned throughout the park, including holiday backdrops and event-specific photo locations.

Special effects and themed images may also be available.

Guests can download eligible Jollywood Nights photos and videos linked to their Disney account without purchasing Memory Maker separately.

Disney says event photos can be downloaded as often as desired for up to 45 days after their initial capture, subject to PhotoPass terms.

If you are dressing up for the event, this benefit can add meaningful value to the ticket.

Ollie the Gingerbread Man

Ollie has become Jollywood Nights’ unofficial mascot.

Disney created the gingerbread character specifically for the event’s 2023 debut.

His deliberately old-fashioned backstory fits the Hollywood theme perfectly:

Ollie is a gingerbread performer who traveled west to pursue his dreams in Tinseltown.

What began primarily as event artwork has gradually expanded.

Ollie now appears throughout Jollywood Nights decorations and merchandise, making him one of the few modern characters created specifically around a Walt Disney World seasonal event.

Look for him throughout the park during the party.

Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 Merchandise

Disney has already revealed the 2026 event-exclusive merchandise collection.

Items include:

  • 2026 Jollywood Nights Pullover
  • Jollywood Nights Ear Headband
  • Gertie Loungefly Bag
  • Gertie Ornament
  • Duffy as Santa Mug

The Gertie Loungefly is particularly appropriate for Hollywood Studios, depicting the park’s Echo Lake dinosaur covered in snow and dressed for Christmas.

The reversible headband incorporates Gertie, Duffy and Ollie.

Event merchandise is sold from the shop near Frozen Fractal Gifts and is available only to guests attending Jollywood Nights.

A valid event wristband is required to purchase the merchandise.

Items are available while supplies last, so anyone attending specifically for a limited piece should shop earlier in the evening rather than waiting until 12:25 AM.

What Should You Wear to Jollywood Nights?

Disney actively encourages guests to dress up for Jollywood Nights.

That does not mean formalwear is required.

The event’s old-Hollywood theme has inspired everything from cocktail dresses and sport coats to Christmas sweaters, vintage outfits, sequins and ordinary theme-park clothes with a little holiday flair.

The best approach is to balance appearance with practicality.

You are still spending up to seven hours in a theme park if you enter at 5:30 PM.

Comfortable shoes matter considerably more at midnight than they did when you posed for your first PhotoPass picture at 6:00.

Florida weather can also vary dramatically in November, December and early January. Some nights are warm enough for short sleeves, while a cold front can make the same park surprisingly chilly after dark.

Check the forecast before choosing your outfit.

Disney’s normal costume and attire policies remain in effect.

Is Fantasmic! Available During Jollywood Nights?

Disney’s official Jollywood Nights information also highlights Fantasmic! as part of the entertainment available around the event.

The nighttime spectacular at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater follows Mickey through a dream that eventually becomes a confrontation with Disney Villains.

Because show schedules can vary by date, check the My Disney Experience app for your specific evening.

There is also a practical question to consider: Fantasmic! can be experienced during regular Hollywood Studios operating days.

If this is your only opportunity to see the show, it may make sense to include it.

If you have another Hollywood Studios day planned, spending a large block of your limited Jollywood Nights time inside the Fantasmic! theater may not be the best use of an expensive event ticket.

Disney Jollywood Nights vs. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Walt Disney World now operates two separately ticketed Christmas parties, but the experiences are quite different.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the more traditional Disney Christmas celebration.

Its defining experiences include a Christmas parade, castle stage entertainment, holiday fireworks, cookies, attraction overlays and classic Disney characters.

Disney Jollywood Nights is more entertainment- and atmosphere-focused.

Its identity revolves around live music, Hollywood glamour, jazz, themed lounges, unusual characters, theatrical shows and specialty food and drinks.

Jollywood Nights also tends to appeal particularly well to guests interested in:

  • Rare characters
  • The Muppets
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Live jazz and swing music
  • Specialty cocktails
  • Hollywood Studios
  • PhotoPass opportunities
  • Lower attraction waits

Families can absolutely enjoy Jollywood Nights, especially with Pixar Disco, characters and shows.

But if your idea of the ultimate Walt Disney World Christmas party involves Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Cinderella Castle, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains the more traditional choice.

Tips for Disney Jollywood Nights 2026

Five hours sounds like plenty of time until you begin adding 30-minute stage shows, character lines, live entertainment, food, PhotoPass stops and rides.

A little planning makes a major difference.

1. Enter at 5:30 PM

Do not voluntarily give away two hours that are already included with your ticket.

Entering at 5:30 gives you time to eat, explore holiday decorations and potentially ride regular attractions before the party officially begins.

Try to avoid spending the first 45 minutes of paid event time eating a full dinner.

2. Prioritize Event-Exclusive Entertainment

You can ride Tower of Terror on another Hollywood Studios day.

You cannot watch Disney Holidays in Hollywood in April.

Make the exclusive entertainment your first priority and fit attractions into whatever gaps remain.

3. Build Your Night Around Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

Once Disney publishes final showtimes, identify the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! performance immediately.

Treat that as the fixed point of your schedule.

Arrange theater shows, characters and food around it instead of discovering ten minutes beforehand that you are on the opposite side of the park.

4. Don’t Try to Meet Every Character

More than 20 character experiences sounds great until you calculate how much of a five-hour event you could spend waiting in character lines.

Choose your priorities.

If Duffy, Powerline Max or George Sanderson is particularly important to you, go after those characters intentionally and treat everything else as a bonus.

5. Use Glisten! as Flexible Entertainment

Unlike a theater production, Glisten! is presented outdoors.

That makes it easier to catch while moving between other experiences without committing as much time to entering, seating and exiting a theater.

6. Be Careful With a Brown Derby Reservation

Jazzy Holidays is one of the most distinctive offerings at the event, but sitting inside a restaurant for an hour is also a substantial commitment.

Make the reservation because you genuinely want the jazz-lounge experience—not simply because a reservation was available.

7. Ride the Muppets Coaster During the Party

If waits are low, 2026 provides a particularly good reason to stop at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

The Obligatory Holiday Overlay gives the already-new Muppets version another seasonal transformation.

Just remember that the overlay operates during regular park hours too.

8. Take Advantage of Included PhotoPass

Photo downloads are already included.

Use them.

If you dressed for the event, seek out multiple photographers rather than coming home with only one picture from the entrance.

9. Shop Before the End of the Night

Event merchandise is limited.

If there is a specific Loungefly, ornament, mug or headband you want, buy it before supplies disappear.

Waiting until the final minutes also risks encountering everyone else who had the same idea.

10. Eat Strategically

The eventual Foodie Guide will undoubtedly contain more dishes than anyone can reasonably try in one evening.

Pick a few priorities.

Eating five small event-exclusive items usually makes more sense than spending an hour on a large conventional meal you could have ordered on another day.

11. Leave Room for Atmosphere

Do not schedule every minute.

Some of Jollywood Nights’ strongest moments come from stopping at the Tip Top Club, listening to musicians or walking down a decorated Sunset Boulevard without racing toward another reservation.

The event was built around atmosphere as much as attractions.

12. Wear Comfortable Shoes

The old-Hollywood theme encourages dressing up.

Go for it.

Just remember that Hollywood Studios remains a theme park with several miles of walking potentially packed into your evening.

The best shoes are the ones you still want to be wearing at 12:30 AM.

13. Check the Weather

November through early January can produce some of the most variable weather Walt Disney World experiences all year.

Temperatures may be mild—or surprisingly cold after midnight.

Several Jollywood Nights offerings are outdoors, including Glisten!, the Tip Top Club entertainment and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!.

Dress accordingly.

14. Don’t Assume Last Year’s Schedule Applies

Showtimes, character locations and entertainment areas can change.

That is particularly important in 2026 because Disney has already altered the lineup.

Use previous years only as a rough planning reference and check the current event guide and My Disney Experience app when you arrive.

15. Decide What Kind of Night You Want Before You Arrive

There is no realistic way to do everything.

A character-focused evening looks very different from a show-focused evening.

A guest interested in jazz, cocktails and specialty food will have an entirely different itinerary from someone trying to ride Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash with shorter waits.

Choose three or four must-do experiences in advance.

Everything beyond those is a bonus.

Is Disney Jollywood Nights Worth It?

The value of Jollywood Nights depends heavily on what you want from the event.

If your primary objective is simply to ride Hollywood Studios attractions, Disney After Hours may provide a more straightforward experience.

If your primary goal is a traditional Disney Christmas celebration, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party may fit that expectation better.

Jollywood Nights makes the most sense for guests attracted to the experiences that are genuinely unique to it.

Disney Holidays in Hollywood, Glisten!, the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, Jazzy Holidays, unusual characters, specialty food, PhotoPass and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! collectively create an experience you cannot reproduce during a normal Hollywood Studios day.

The limited capacity and generally lower attraction waits are useful bonuses rather than the entire point.

For returning Walt Disney World visitors who have already experienced the parks during Christmas, Jollywood Nights can also provide something substantially different from simply seeing the same decorations again.

What’s Still to Come for Jollywood Nights 2026?

Disney has revealed most of the major entertainment framework for 2026, but several details are still coming.

As of October 15, 2026, Disney has not yet published the complete:

  • 2026 Foodie Guide
  • Checkin’ It Twice Lounge menu
  • Complete food and beverage pricing
  • Final nightly entertainment schedule
  • All character locations and appearance times
  • Complete PhotoPass lineup

Those details should arrive closer to the November 7 opening night.

This guide will be updated as Disney releases them.

A Different Kind of Disney Christmas Party

Disney Jollywood Nights has changed considerably since its first party in November 2023.

What began as a four-hour experiment with only 10 event nights has developed into a five-hour holiday event spanning 15 dates and, for the first time, extending beyond New Year’s Day.

Along the way Disney added Glisten!, dramatically expanded the character lineup, strengthened the food program and leaned further into the lounges, live music and Hollywood atmosphere that distinguish Jollywood Nights from every other Christmas event at Walt Disney World.

The 2026 version continues that evolution.

Checkin’ It Twice Lounge gives guests another place to slow down and enjoy the evening. George Sanderson and Needleman expand an already unusual character roster. Donald, Daisy and Genie add Disney personality to Glisten!. The newly transformed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets receives its first Christmas overlay. And the January extension gives guests two opportunities to experience the party after the traditional holiday rush is over.

The key is not trying to do everything.

Pick the shows, characters and experiences that can only happen during Jollywood Nights, use the lower ride waits selectively, take advantage of the included PhotoPass downloads, and leave enough time to actually enjoy Hollywood Studios after dark.
