Big Top Souvenirs is the primary retail location in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Designed to resemble an elaborate traveling-circus tent, the shop is easy to recognize by its teal canopy, ornate red-and-gold marquee, decorative light bulbs, striped poles, and small ticket booth positioned near the entrance. The exterior signage advertises the sorts of playful offerings guests might expect to find at an old-fashioned midway, including cotton candy, caramel apples, toys, and “amusing mementos.”
Inside, Big Top Souvenirs combines a traditional Disney gift shop with a circus-themed confectionery. The store has typically carried plush toys, apparel, collectible pins, accessories, and general Walt Disney World merchandise, while the central sweets counter has offered colorful treats such as character-inspired candy apples, cookies, cupcakes, and Mickey-shaped snacks. Walt Disney World describes the location as a “three-ring extravaganza” featuring snacks, sweet treats, cold drinks, souvenirs, and pins.

Big Top Souvenirs opened on September 30, 2012, as part of the transformation of the former Mickey’s Toontown Fair area into Storybook Circus. The shop replaced County Bounty, the large merchandise location that had previously served Mickey’s Toontown Fair. Although the interior function remained broadly similar, the redesigned storefront helped establish the new land’s setting: a nostalgic circus environment inspired by the world surrounding Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
The shop gained another role in 2024 with the arrival of Smellephants on Parade, an interactive scavenger-hunt experience presented by Scentsy. Guests begin the activity at the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs, where they receive a map and sticker sheet before searching Storybook Circus for eight scented elephant statues.
As of 2026, Big Top Souvenirs is temporarily closed for refurbishment. The closure began on February 20, with Walt Disney World stating that the shop is expected to reopen later in the year.
Big Top Souvenirs is not merely a place to purchase a souvenir on the way out of Fantasyland. Its detailed façade, confectionery displays, and prominent location make it an important part of the Storybook Circus atmosphere—a modern retail space designed to feel like the bustling merchandise tent at the center of a vintage Disney carnival.
