Revealed at D23 2026, the ride is built around Miss Fritter, the towering, hard-charging school bus from Cars 3 who became one of that film’s most memorable personalities. Disney has described the attraction as a demolition-derby-style experience hosted by Miss Fritter herself, with a giant school-bus-sized Audio-Animatronic serving as the centerpiece.
That character choice says a lot about the role the attraction is meant to play. While Piston Peak’s headline ride, Cars Ridge Run Rally, is being positioned as the large-scale off-road racing adventure, Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along appears to provide the land’s more playful, family-friendly counterbalance. Miss Fritter is loud, chaotic, and larger than life, which makes her a natural fit for a ride built around spinning movement, comic energy, and a little bit of mayhem. In other words, this is not meant to be a serene frontier attraction. It is meant to feel rowdy.
The attraction is also important because it helps define what Piston Peak National Park actually is. Disney is not simply dropping Radiator Springs into Magic Kingdom. Instead, Piston Peak is being framed as a Cars version of an American national park, complete with mountains, geysers, rivers, trails, ranger buildings, and “Parkitecture”-style structures meant to blend into the landscape.
