Park: Hollywood Studios Monstropolis

Monstropolis is the upcoming Monsters, Inc.-themed land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing the world of Pixar’s monster city into the park as one of its most significant modern expansions. Harryhausen’s Restaurant, one of the most memorable locations from the original film, will become a major dining venue with a sushi-chef Audio-Animatronics figure and a broader menu beyond sushi. Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will bring a Monsters University reference into the food lineup, while the Monsters University Alumni Club and Scareporium will add character, shopping, and world-building details to the city streets.

The land’s headline attraction is the long-awaited door-vault coaster, inspired by the famous suspended door chase from Monsters, Inc. Disney has described it as a suspended coaster experience, giving Hollywood Studios another major thrill attraction while finally turning one of Pixar’s most ride-ready sequences into a full-scale Disney park experience.

Monstropolis continues Hollywood Studios’ transformation from a studio-backlot park into a collection of immersive franchise worlds. Like Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it gives guests a physical environment based on a beloved film universe.
