Glisten! is a holiday ice-skating spectacular presented on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Disney Jollywood Nights. Performed on a temporary synthetic rink in front of the park’s Chinese Theater, the show transforms the familiar central hub into a stylized winter stage. Projection mapping covers the theater façade with glowing wreaths, Christmas trees, and geometric Art Deco patterns, allowing the production to blend the elegance of a classic holiday television special with the retro-Hollywood atmosphere that defines the separately ticketed event.
The show features a cast of world-class skaters performing choreographed routines built around spins, lifts, jumps, and synchronized ensemble sequences. One of its most distinctive moments involves skaters jumping rope with strands of illuminated Christmas lights, an effect that gives the performance a playful seasonal flourish without abandoning its polished presentation. The soundtrack combines original Jollywood Nights songs with traditional holiday music and Disney favorites, including “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast and “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio.
Glisten! debuted on November 9, 2024, during the second season of Disney Jollywood Nights. Its arrival gave the event a visually distinctive centerpiece that could be experienced without entering a theater or committing to a lengthy showtime. Performances took place several times each evening, allowing guests to gather along Hollywood Boulevard between visits to the event’s other entertainment offerings, including Disney Holidays in Hollywood, What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
