Complete Disney World Character Dining List (2026)

Character dining is one of the most uniquely Disney ways to turn a meal into an attraction of its own. Instead of spending part of your park day waiting in multiple character meet-and-greet lines, you can sit down for breakfast, lunch, or dinner while Mickey, Minnie, Disney Princesses, Winnie the Pooh, Stitch, Snow White, and other characters make their way around the dining room for photos, hugs, and autographs.

Walt Disney World offers character meals inside all four theme parks as well as at several Disney Resort hotels. Some focus on the classic Disney characters, others feature princesses, and a few have especially distinctive themes—such as Mickey and friends dressed as artists at Disney’s Riviera Resort or Donald and his pals preparing for safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Character dining can also be a useful part of a Disney Dining Plan strategy. The 2026 Disney Dining Plan includes one Table-Service meal per night of stay, and most character meals redeem one Table-Service meal. A few premium experiences require two.

There are also several important differences from older versions of this guide. Walt Disney World dining reservations now generally open 60 days in advance rather than 180 days. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can make dining reservations for their entire stay—up to a 10-night stay—when their 60-day booking window opens. All other guests can make reservations 60 days before each dining date.

Character meals remain among the hardest Walt Disney World dining reservations to secure, especially Cinderella’s Royal Table, Topolino’s Terrace, ‘Ohana, Chef Mickey’s, and Story Book Dining at Artist Point. If one of these experiences is a priority for your vacation, booking as soon as your reservation window opens is still the safest approach.

Character Dining at Magic Kingdom

The Crystal Palace

The Crystal Palace is the home of Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore visit guests during an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Victorian greenhouse-inspired restaurant sits just off Main Street, U.S.A. with views toward Cinderella Castle, making it one of the most convenient character meals for families spending a full day at Magic Kingdom.

Disney recommends allowing approximately 90 minutes if meeting all of the available characters is important to your group.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table offers something no other Walt Disney World character meal can duplicate: dining inside Cinderella Castle.

Cinderella greets diners in the Grand Hall before guests head upstairs to the castle’s medieval banquet room. During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, additional Disney Princesses visit the tables for photos and autographs.

The exact princess lineup can vary. Because of the setting and limited seating, Cinderella’s Royal Table remains one of Walt Disney World’s most competitive dining reservations.

It is also one of the more expensive uses of the Disney Dining Plan, requiring two Table-Service meals per person.

Character Dining at EPCOT

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Located inside EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion, Akershus provides another opportunity to meet multiple Disney Princesses during a single meal.

Princess Storybook Dining is offered at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The lineup varies, but Disney currently notes that guests may encounter princesses such as Belle, Princess Tiana, Ariel, Snow White, and Aurora.

Food is served family-style, with Norwegian-inspired dishes mixed with familiar American options. Breakfast requires one Table-Service meal on the 2026 Disney Dining Plan, while lunch and dinner require two.

Garden Grill Restaurant

Garden Grill is one of Walt Disney World’s most distinctive character restaurants. The circular dining room slowly revolves above Living with the Land, providing changing views of scenes from the attraction while guests eat.

Chip and Dale headline the experience along with Disney friends such as Farmer Mickey. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served family-style rather than from a buffet.

Garden Grill can be particularly useful for families because the restaurant is relatively compact, which can make the character rotation feel more relaxed than some of the resort’s larger buffets.

Character Dining at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood & Vine

Hollywood & Vine remains Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ primary character-dining restaurant. Disney’s current 2026 listing offers character dining at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with Minnie Mouse and friends hosting seasonal celebrations throughout the year.

The restaurant changes decorations and character costumes to match the season. The calendar includes themed experiences such as Summer Dine, Halloween Dine, Holiday Dine, and Silver Screen Dine.

Because costumes and specific character lineups change throughout the year, this is one character meal where your experience can look noticeably different depending on when you visit.

Character Dining at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Tusker House Restaurant

Tusker House combines one of Walt Disney World’s stronger character experiences with a buffet that offers considerably more adventurous food than a typical theme-park character meal.

Donald Duck hosts the experience with Mickey Mouse and other Disney friends dressed in safari gear. Character dining is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast mixes familiar favorites such as Mickey and Simba waffles with African-inspired selections including bobotie and South African French toast. Lunch and dinner move further into African-inspired flavors with curries, tandoori chicken, braised meats, rice dishes, and other selections.

Character Dining at Disney World Resorts

Chef Mickey’s

Chef Mickey’s remains one of Walt Disney World’s quintessential character meals. Located beneath the soaring atrium of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the restaurant offers views of the monorail passing overhead while Mickey Mouse and his friends circulate through the dining room.

One important correction from older versions of this guide: Chef Mickey’s no longer serves a character lunch. The current experience is offered at breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort offers one of the most distinctive versions of Mickey-and-friends character dining.

Mickey appears as a painter, Minnie as a poet, Donald as a sculptor, and Daisy as a dancer, with costumes created specifically for the restaurant.

Characters appear only during breakfast. Topolino’s becomes a signature French- and Italian-inspired restaurant at dinner, and there are no character appearances during the evening meal.

1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare returned to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in 2024 with a completely revised character concept built around the theme of wishes.

Both breakfast and dinner feature appearances by Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Princess Tiana. That unusual combination gives 1900 Park Fare one of the most varied character lineups at Walt Disney World.

The restaurant serves an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet and retains several longtime favorites, including its famous Grand Floridian Strawberry Soup.

Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch at ‘Ohana

‘Ohana’s Best Friends Breakfast remains the primary place at Walt Disney World to combine a meal with Lilo and Stitch.

Lilo, Stitch, Mickey Mouse, and other Disney friends visit during the family-style breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, Hawaiian-style ham, island-style potatoes, Mickey-shaped waffles, and other breakfast favorites.

Characters do not appear at ‘Ohana dinner. The evening family-style meal is a separate dining experience.

Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe

Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort offers character dining only in the morning, when Minnie Mouse and several friends arrive dressed for a day at the beach.

The breakfast buffet includes Mickey waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, oatmeal, pastries, and other familiar selections.

The restaurant also serves a seafood-focused dinner buffet, but characters do not appear at dinner.

Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White

Story Book Dining at Artist Point is one of Walt Disney World’s most elaborately themed character meals. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge transforms the former Artist Point dining room into an enchanted forest inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy visit guests around the dining room, while The Queen receives visitors at a separate photo location.

The prix-fixe experience is offered only at dinner and requires two Table-Service meals per person when using the 2026 Disney Dining Plan.

Disney World Character Meals That Are No Longer Available

Several experiences that appeared in older versions of this list are no longer active character meals.

Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno

The former Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast featured Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric at Trattoria al Forno on Disney’s BoardWalk.

The character experience stopped operating during Walt Disney World’s pandemic closure in 2020 and has still not returned as of August 2026. Trattoria al Forno continues to serve breakfast, but it is currently a regular meal without characters.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

Be Our Guest was sometimes included on older character-dining lists because the Beast historically appeared during dinner.

Disney no longer classifies Be Our Guest as a character-dining restaurant, and it should not be booked with the expectation of a traditional character meal or table-to-table character interaction.

How Far in Advance Can You Book Disney World Character Dining?

Walt Disney World dining reservations currently open 60 days in advance.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel have an important advantage. Beginning 60 days before check-in, they can make restaurant reservations for their entire stay, up to a 10-night vacation. That can effectively give Resort guests access to reservations several days beyond the normal 60-day window.

Guests who are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel can generally make reservations 60 days before each individual dining date.

Same-day reservations and Mobile Dine Walk-Up availability sometimes appear in the My Disney Experience app, but relying on those options for the most popular character meals is risky.

Using the Disney Dining Plan for Character Meals in 2026

The standard Disney Dining Plan includes one Table-Service meal per person, per night of the Resort stay, and character dining can be an excellent use of those meals.

Most current character dining experiences require one Table-Service meal.

The exceptions for 2026 are:

• Cinderella’s Royal Table: 2 Table-Service meals at breakfast, lunch, or dinner
• Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: 1 Table-Service meal at breakfast; 2 at lunch or dinner
• Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White: 2 Table-Service meals

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan does not provide Table-Service meals and therefore cannot be used to cover a character-dining meal.

Gratuities are generally not included with the Disney Dining Plan, so remember to budget separately for tips.

Do You Need a Theme Park Ticket for Character Dining?

If the restaurant is located inside Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, everyone in your party who requires park admission must have valid admission to that park.

A dining reservation does not provide theme-park admission and does not guarantee access to the park.

No theme-park ticket is required for character meals located at Disney Resort hotels, including Chef Mickey’s, ‘Ohana, Topolino’s Terrace, 1900 Park Fare, Cape May Cafe, and Story Book Dining at Artist Point.

There is no single best character meal for every family, but a few stand out depending on what you want from the experience:
