Rix Sports Bar & Grill is the main sports bar and table-service restaurant at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, located in the resort’s central El Centro area near the convention facilities, lobby, and other dining venues. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks, giving Coronado Springs guests a flexible option that works as a morning meal stop, casual lunch, game-day hangout, or relaxed evening bar.

The restaurant’s identity is tied closely to Coronado Springs’ unusual place within Walt Disney World’s resort lineup. Opened in 1997, Coronado Springs was Disney’s first moderate resort built with a major convention audience in mind. That meant its dining options needed to serve families on vacation, business travelers, large groups, and adults looking for something more polished than a standard food court. Rix fits that need well. It is casual enough for park guests in shorts and sneakers, but its bar-focused atmosphere and large television presence make it feel more adult and co

Rix originally operated as Rix Lounge before evolving into Rix Sports Bar & Grill. That change gave the space a clearer purpose and a fuller food identity, shifting it from a place primarily for drinks into a more complete restaurant built around upscale sports-bar fare. Current menus typically include wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, poke, breakfast plates, cocktails, beer, wine, and other familiar bar-and-grill items. The food is approachable, but the setting is more contemporary than a traditional pub, with enough screens and energy to make it one of the better places on Disney property to watch live sports.

Rix also reflects the broader modernization of Coronado Springs. The resort’s dining reputation changed significantly with the arrival of Gran Destino Tower, Toledo, Dahlia Lounge, Three Bridges Bar & Grill, and the refresh of the central dining areas. Rix remained useful through that transformation because it occupies a different niche: casual, social, sports-oriented, and open across multiple dayparts.

Rix Sports Bar & Grill is not a heavily themed Disney restaurant, but it is one of Coronado Springs’ most practical dining assets. Its current-day notoriety comes from convenience, late operating hours, a strong bar program, and its role as a reliable place to catch a game without leaving Walt Disney World property.
