Rose & Crown Pub is the lively bar half of EPCOT’s Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room, located in the United Kingdom Pavilion along World Showcase Lagoon. Opened with EPCOT on October 1, 1982, the location has long been one of the park’s most recognizable examples of cultural dining and atmosphere, blending a traditional British pub setting with the flow of a theme park promenade.
The pub is designed as an idealized composite of several British pub styles rather than a replica of one specific building. That approach fits the United Kingdom Pavilion as a whole, which combines architectural cues from different periods and regions into a romanticized village streetscape. Inside Rose & Crown, guests find dark wood, cozy rooms, decorative details, a proper bar, and the social energy of a place built for conversation, music, and a pint. It feels intimate compared with many EPCOT restaurants, yet it remains firmly connected to the motion of World Showcase just outside its doors.
The drink program is central to its identity. Rose & Crown is known for British and Irish beers, pub blends, whisky, specialty cocktails, wine, and nonalcoholic options, making it one of EPCOT’s classic stops for adults touring the lagoon. Its “pub blends,” which combine different beers or ciders into layered or mixed drinks, have become part of the location’s personality. The adjoining Dining Room serves the more complete sit-down meal experience, with British-inspired dishes such as fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and other comfort-food staples, but the pub side stands on its own as a casual walk-up bar.
Live entertainment has also helped define the space. The Rose & Crown Pub musician tradition gives the location a sing-along, communal feeling that separates it from a standard bar. That entertainment fits EPCOT’s original World Showcase goal: presenting international culture through food, music, architecture, and personal interaction rather than only through rides.
Rose & Crown Pub remains one of EPCOT’s most enduring social spaces. It is not flashy, and it has changed less dramatically than many parts of the park, but that continuity is part of its appeal. For longtime guests, it represents classic World Showcase: atmospheric, convivial, culturally specific, and best experienced at an unhurried pace with a drink in hand near the lagoon.
