¡Celebración Encanto! is a lively sing-along stage show in EPCOT’s CommuniCore Plaza, created to bring the music, characters, and family-centered energy of Disney’s Encanto into the heart of the park’s World Celebration neighborhood. The show debuted on June 10, 2024, as the first major entertainment offering on the new CommuniCore Plaza Stage, which opened alongside CommuniCore Hall as part of EPCOT’s multi-year transformation. Originally announced as a limited-time summer offering, the production was later extended and has continued to appear in EPCOT entertainment listings.
The show is built as a festive, family-friendly celebration of the Madrigal family rather than a full retelling of the film. Guests are invited to sing, dance, answer trivia, and enjoy familiar music from Encanto in an open-air setting. Mirabel and Bruno Madrigal are closely associated with the presentation, giving the show character appeal beyond a standard concert-style sing-along. Its tone is bright and participatory, with the plaza atmosphere helping it feel more like a communal fiesta than a traditional theater show.

Historically, ¡Celebración Encanto! is important because it helped define what CommuniCore Plaza was meant to become. EPCOT’s central spine had been under construction for years, and the new plaza was designed as a flexible gathering place for live music, seasonal entertainment, festival programming, food, and daytime-to-nighttime activity. By choosing Encanto as the first major show for that stage, Disney gave the space an immediate identity built around music, color, interactivity, and multigenerational appeal.
The attraction also reflects EPCOT’s modern balancing act. Classic EPCOT often emphasized culture, discovery, technology, and global connection, while today’s park increasingly uses Disney characters to make those themes more approachable. Encanto fits that shift particularly well because its story is rooted in family, community, magical realism, music, and Colombian-inspired cultural imagery. In World Celebration, those themes translate into a show about gathering together, participating, and sharing joy in a public space.
Today, ¡Celebración Encanto! is not one of EPCOT’s large-scale headliners, but it fills an important role. It gives families a short, accessible entertainment option without a major time commitment, helps activate the park’s newest central venue, and adds a warm burst of contemporary Disney animation to EPCOT’s daytime lineup. Its significance comes from both its popularity with Encanto fans and its place as one of the first visible examples of how the completed World Celebration area would actually be used.
